“Great walk!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2013

These are lovely falls, and the walk is well designed and very doable. Park your car down the road and walk in. There is a hefty parking charge.

“Least fun trail I've done on the island”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2013

Well, maybe this trail is great when you are here for a visit, but as said, the waterfall ain't spectacular and the walk is ok, but not as incredible as other hikes I've done...

“Challenging but Fun”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2013

We hiked Manoa Falls Friday, July 12, 2013. We wore good hiking shoes but then decided that we did not want to ruin them with all the mud so we bought the swim shoes the gift shop sells to wear. Big mistake! They did not have the support needed or protection from stepping on rocks. The trails were challenging due to being very slick from the mud but reaching the falls made it all worth it.

“Trip was not worth the falls”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2013

We went on a day that was raining which I thought made it even more fun. The tour guide that we went with was very good and knowledgeable. We made it through the woods/trail, but overall I thought that the falls were less than impressive. If you want to have a fun hike it was pretty fun though to hike through the hills, but the falls looks exactly as pictured.

“Safety first”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2013

MY NECK OF THE WOODS! Visitors beware! We get lots of rain in Manoa Valley and make the hike at least once a year because it's near my home. The rain keeps our valley lush and green with lots of beauuutiful rainbows. At least once or twice a month, we hear the emergency vehicles rushing towards the falls with FIRE helicopter hovering.
The trail is easy and many ignore signs posted not to go beyond a certain point. Transients unaware of prior rainy days will be sucked in by a bright sunny day. It's just dangerous. Our last 8 year old victim and her family from Texas experienced falling rocks from above. They really should close the falls because of its hidden dangers!
