“Walk from the city into the rain forrest”

Pretty awesome hike. Just know that your shoes WILL get muddy! Come prepared with either extra shoes or plan to wash your shoes at the station at the bottom of the trail.

“Beautiful Nature Walk”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 10, 2012

What a beautiful hike and definitely for me. The going is moderate and I appreciated the cool, wet forest as opposed to hiking the hotter, dryer Diamond Head Trail. There were hoards of mosquitos so hikers should be fully clothed and wear plenty of insect repellent. My husband and I went on a small guided tour which was friendly and enjoyable, although I wish there had been more walking and less talking.

“Worth a Visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 8, 2012

This is a great little hike. It's rather short (less than a mile) but with a relatively steep incline that could be difficult for those not in the best condition. It can get quite muddy, but with the proper shoes, it's not much to worry about. It's a very commercial spot, so the trail is well looked after.

The caption at the top says its an hour hike to the waterfall, but my mother and I did it in less than 30 minutes.

There are signs saying youre not supposed to go into the actual waterfall/pool but people frequently do anyway. It was really humid when I went, so it felt a bit like using a stairmaster in a sauna ;) But the scenery is lovely, and its a nice little workout. I enjoyed it, and wouldn't mind going back.

P.S. If you want to park nearby, be prepared to pay 5$ ( 3$ for Kamaina or military)

“Fantastic - worth the wet mud!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 7, 2012

Brave the wet mud (but wear proper shoes - it is slippery) and get rewarded by the falls once you reached the top. At times you feel like you are in the middle of jungle.

“Muddy trek”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 7, 2012 via mobile

This was well worth the muddy trek to see this amazing waterfall and if your very adventurous there are other trails that take you to the top of the mountain and through some bamboo trees very very cool
