Love the cheeseburger & fries for $10 during happy hour. (This is only available in the bar area of the Hula Grill) Listening to the music down below from Duke's is an added bonus! Service was a little slow to start but once we were noticed everything was great.

After about a 40 minute wait, we got a nice table on the terrace overlooking Waikiki beach. We've been here before and enjoyed the "local" salad with Hawaiian greens, so we got it again which they kindly put on 2 plates to share. Really nice, fresh salad with a slightly acidic dressing - a good change up from all the sweet dressings. My wife had one of the specials, a boneless ribeye cooked medium rare straight off the chargrill, great flavour with the demi glaze served with a side of mash and grilled asparagus. I had a slightly over cooked but still tasty mac nut crusted Mahi Mahi with beurre blanc served with beans and basmati with wild rice. Our waitress was friendly and attentive and the food was delicious and healthy. We'll be back again.

We came here for breakfast based upon a recommendation from a local at the Marriott. Turns out she was right!

First off, the view here is wonderful. We weren't seated at the rail, but still had a great view of the beach. The palms were gently swaying and it made for a wonderful atmosphere!

She had the Paniolo omelet with avocado, ham, tomato, poblano pepper, jack cheese and salsa. I opted for the Loco Moco which is two eggs,a burger, rice, and mushroom gravy. She loved her omelet and plans to have it again. The Loco Moco was beautifully presented, but its taste wasn't to my taste buds....it needed a little kick for me.

Service was wonderful. Prices are reasonable....under $25 for the two of us, with water as our drink. The view is awesome. We plan to go back. In fact, today is our 15th wedding anniversary and we're headed to the Hula Grill in just a few minutes!

This place is not apparent from the main street on Waikiki and perhaps it is why it could be considered a hidden gem. We had our last breakfast in Hawaii here and boy was I glad we did this, instead of joining the long lines at Eggs N things.

To find this place you need to enter Outrigger hotel, head to the rear and go up the stairs to the next floor. We arrived at 8 am and waited for 10 minutes. We were lucky as we got seated at the edge of the balcony but most of the other seats would have been OK too.

The location is fantastic, as it is right on Waikiki beach, and because it is elevated, you view is unobstructed. The food is very well priced, at around $10 a portion, you really can't complain. I had the pancake and added the Portuguese sausage on the side. It was very good. Service is good. We had a waitress which at first impression sounded disinterested, but later I figured out that it was just the way she talked, ie. Like a relaxed surfer girl.

Would not hesitate about coming back here again and again on my next trip.

Dependable fare, very reasonable with wonderful outlook over the sea. Good kids breakfast menu. Wait times can be longer during busy periods but this is normal in Waikiki.
