My wife and I recently stayed at this hotel, and we were very pleased. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and fresh, and the location was very convenient to everything we wanted to do.
We were too lazy to get up for the breakfast buffet, but took advantage of the cafe downstairs several times for lunch. The prices were reasonable and the portions were generous enough to share. I have to say I have eaten fried rice more times than I can count, and theirs is the best I've ever eaten, bar none.
Thanks to the owners and staff for making this a wonderful stay in Honolulu!

The hotel is one short block from Waikiki beach(<5 minute walk) and within walking distance to all the high ends shopping and dinings(~10 minute walk). There are lot of smaller eateries nearby. The room is much smaller than average, not smelly or damp, but is showing its old age. The funitures and linens should be retired by now. Overall the hotel is old, but kept clean. The parking is $18/day and if you have a large van or SUV like I did, it can be a challenge to get a big enough spot. There are two restaurants, I ate breakfast and luch in the one in the lobby. The price was reasonable and so were the foods, nothing fancy. I did not try the more gourmet restaurant on the 2nd floor. Overall it was a good stay, except the parking and the passenger drop-off drive way. The drive-way only fits 2 or 3 vehicles at a time, and there's no room any where on the nearby streets to load or unload the passengers safely

Check in staff was efficient, pleasant and personable. The rooms were clean, neat and tidy. The restaurants were priced reasonably, good value, not at all like many hotels. Easy walk to sites, beach, venues, restaurants and shops.

Just like everyone says the Waikiki Resort hotel is a great place to stay since it is close to everything. We didn't spend a lot of time on our room but it was comfortable and convenient. The price and specials they have make it a great deal too.
The laundry in the basement was great for washing a few things during our stay. The internet does cost 20 cents a minute but we didn't use it much, but it was nice to have since we didn't bring our own computer.
We enjoyed our view of the ocean and Diamond Head from our balcony.
We would definitely stay here again.

The problem when choosing a hotel off the net is that too often it disappoints. Not the Waikiki Resort Hotel. From the minute we arrived everything was great. Check-in was a breeze-even though we arrived early, and the room was perfect. Though the view of the ocean was between two buildings (see photo) it was what we expected.

Location is really fabulous. A couple blocks north and there are eateries, grocery stores, pharmacies and so on. Two blocks South and you’re on the beach, and maybe 3 blocks from the International Marketplace. Shopping and great restaurants are on your doorstep. Also public transport in the form of buses and trolleys are right there, and I was pleased I did not bother to hire a car.

Service was brilliant- we needed a taxi at 4am, and the concierge made certain it happened, with a smile. He even left me the cab drivers cell phone number just in case. It was unnecessary- the cab arrived 10 minutes early to take us to the airport.

I’d certainly stay here again.
