Did the lunch whale watching tour, must say it was just ok. Was your typical mass tour, boat did really have much to rave about. Only small outside viewing areas.......given it was a whale watching tour we had to stand with the masses on small outside decks to see the whales. Lunch was very average, so would say don't waste your money with the lunch tour.
Wouldn't do this tour again.
Boat was in need of an upgrade, old and dated.

The whole experience was quite wel organized from being picked up downtown to the seating in the buffet area. They have long tables and it is quite crowded. On the night we went, we were the only Westeners!! The buffet food was pretty good and a good choice. We liked the fish! Before dinner we went out on the deck and watched the sunset. Stunning! The boat went around Diamond Head and we got some great photos. The staff was very friendly and kept checking if everything and everyone was okay! The show they put on was allright. Nothing special.
The best part of the cruise was seeing the sunset and Waikiki and Diamond Head from the water!

Just returned from Hawaii, and having booked this dinner cruise with the younger son and family joining us, a first visit to Hawaii. We paid for and supposedly had travel services book the Royal Sunset Dinner Cruise with window seating. Once arriving we were seated at a window, however, for the Buffet not the sit down dinner on the upper level. Since things went awry somewhere somehow with the booking, they charged us $158 to upgrade and no window seating.

Needless to say not only was my husband annoyed and irritated, but rather embarrassing to say the least. Unfortunately, the upgrade was extremely disappointing as was the food which was terrible. The lobster in the shell was tasteless, it was not cleaned out and looked disgusting, the so called steak was more like sliced pieces of roast. I can't say it was worth the upgrade, and sine there was a glitch somewhere in our reservations, trying to get some form of compensation post trip.

We met someone in Hawaii having been affiliated with these type of cruises, and he said none of them are worth the price. Unfortunately, Navatek doesn't have any customer service email, let alone finding an address, so hence this review - and not at all favorable.

The other issue was Society of Seven dinner was cancelled, then the show itself. Apparently we heard from a local that the hotel closed the showroom. Go figure, the one show we wanted to see. Another disappointment with new visitors to the island.

While we have been to Oahu several times, there is a lot to do otherwise. Positive for Hilton Hawaiian Village, Chief's Luau which is less commercialized and in a beautiful setting and locale,
and the Magic Show.

We booked this dinner cruise for the boat ride, knowing that the food would not really be fine dining. We bought the lobster/beef dinner on the upper deck and paid extra for a seat by the window. The shrimp cocktail appetizer was four small, rather soggy shrimp. The salad was fresh, but overdressed. I should have thought to ask for my dressing on the side. They did serve a whole steamed small lobster - okay - but the beef was overcooked, the vegetables were tasteless and the mashed potatoes were very bland. Again, I wasn't really expecting fine dining; however, a frozen Swanson dinner would be good competition and the entertainment was awful. It reminded me of some Saturday Night live lounge lizard spoofs. Hula dancing to White Christmas and Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer was pretty bad. The dinner crowd was very sparse and no one was interested in participating in the cheesy entertainment so we ended up watching the staff do the Harlem Shuffle. I had read good reviews about this cruise before purchasing it. I was very disappointed and would not recommend this to anyone.

Just looking at this sleek high-tech craft designed to sail smoothly in rough waters, packs a thrill. It vibrates with excitement. The sail past Diamond bay along Waikiki's coastline is what twilight was created for.
We joined the 300-odd,freshly scrubbed land -lubbers for a superb buffet and a show which is pure 'hawaii'. The dancing after made for a joyous time. We had earlier charted a seaplane to see the coast from above and now,by sea. magic. Sunsets are free, everything else costs. Doh!!
