We had dinner at this restaurant which part of Halekulani Hotel. The hotel is 1 of the top hotels in Waikiki and beachfront. The restaurant is indoor / outdoor and has a nice ambience. During the evening a 3 piece group play Hawaiian / Polynesian music along with a Hula dance which adds to the atmosphere.
This is not a cheap place but the food and service are very good verging on excellent.

We were recommended this by a local on our flight from LA to Oahu, so we went there one evening.

You couldn't book, but there was room when we got there. Shown to our table, wonderful service - smiley, friendly, not too pretentious. We took our time, had a cocktail (lovely), and then later had dinner. THey didn't rush us, were very friendly.

Food, I had chicken from the BBQ which was very tasty. Mrs P had a Caesar salad. Live, hawaiian, background music was fine - nothing special but added something - and the sunset views of the beach were dreamy! More than we would normally expect from a restaurant, it was a real treat. It was the most expensive meal we had on our entire trip, but it felt special and was worth it for a treat.

Don't eat there every day, but we would recommend!

In a word; Exceptional!! Best breakfast in town! That is what this restaurant is; located at the extraordinary MUST stay Halekulani on Waikiki Beach in Honolulu. The restaurant is the perfect blend of luxury & service in an idyllic setting. For me, these is no better on the Island. This restaurant serves such a great buffet, and price wise, while it is considered by some pricy, what there is nothing comparable in terms of what they offer and the money is well spent; plus GREAT coffee. My wife and I stayed at a competing property due an availability issue (I booked too late) we spent a lot of time at this awesome property; dining, shopping, and just enjoying this awesome setting. We stayed here years ago, and it is where we will stay AND eat again whenever we Honolulu. So, Plan a morning for this restaurant weather staying there or not, and go early, it is hugely popular...great views of Diamond Head, Surfers on he Pacific, or just the awesome feel of the sun with the best breakfast on the island, wether Omelets, Fresh Fruit, Bacon, Sausages, Short Rib Hash, Rice, Roasted Potatoes, Smoked Salmon & Capers...and on and on!! Just try it and you will be delighted!

Was recommended by fellow travelers. We were all disappointed with the menu, small portions, and steep prices. My husband refused to pay $22 for a hamburger. I ended up getting an appetizer ($16), everyone else ordered the fish-of-the-day which was a very small portion of fish with a bit of garnish. Flavor was nice. Would not recommend this restaurant if you have big eaters in your family. My sons and nephews were still hungry after we left the restaurant. This place has a beautiful view and relaxing live Hawaiian music. If you have no concerns about your budget then it would be a nice place to go and watch the sunset. I highly recommend that you look at the menu before you go.

We had happy hour here before our dinner at LaMer. This is a beautiful setting overlooking the ocean and Diamond Head.
There was a three piece Hawaiian band playing with Hula girl. They were excellent.
The beverage service was top notch. Prompt service.
The drinks were great.
Mahalo.
