We had not visited the new location and did not know what to expect. Restaurant was crowded, but we had a table where we could talk without shouting. Service was excellent and the dishes were served promptly and well-displayed. Liked that most of the food was locally grown and/or raised. Parking in the area is still difficult. Their flour-less chocolate dessert was the best!

We visited December 30, 2013. Sevice was OK, nothing special. We noticed they prompted people at a neighboring table to leave as they were lingering over coffee. The food was very delicious- we both had fish. The decor was nice but the the place was really loud - there was a lively scene at the bar where people were also eating, and the acoustics in the room made it seem louder.
We were wondering about the neighborhood - we were taking the bus from Waikiki and had no problems, but it seemed a little deserted.

Excellent new place, larger, spacious without losing the intimate setting as the old location. Service did not diminish as you may think moving to a larger venue. Happy hour is the same and the food is always 5 star. The Chefs and line staff are professional and calm during our service. More seats at the bar so you don't have to get there at opening time but it did get crowded on a Monday....

We went as we had had a good experience previously. But things have changed. First, for reservations for more than 6, you have to give a credit card number and we were told that we would be charged $25 if one of the party could not attend(e.g., illness) and yet there was a REQUIRED 18% service charge despite the level of service which was not great; we had to ask for refill of our water glass and one of our party's coffee. The prices were comparable to 3660 On the Rise which we had gone to a week previously but the portions were smaller. On the good side, the duck with pasta was excellent as was the mahimahi and short ribs.

This restaurant is one of the best in the Honolulu area. They have all local foods and a frequently changing menu. We really enjoyed our meals, and their signature drinks are fabulous as well! While the food was excellent, the atmosphere and service truly made the restaurant one of the best. It's an intimate and romantic atmosphere, but not pretentious- something that is difficult to find. They were so patient with all of our questions, and gave GREAT recommendations. It will definitely be a regular stop for us!
