Decently priced breakfast. Good selection of items. Large portion sizes. A good breakfast value for Hawaii.

“Old fashioned diner”
Reviewed September 2, 2013

We had breakfast here twice since it was across the street from the Hilton Hawaiian village where we were staying. It is a typical diner which looks like it hasn't been remodeled in a long time. The wait staff could be a little friendlier. We found them humorous even though they were trying to be funny. The pancakes and French toast were good the waffles were ok. The coconut syrup is good. The pancakes come out right away so if ordered the pancakes they were brought out while the others waited for their food.

“Decent food and prices”
Reviewed September 2, 2013

Can't say much more than this, you get your standard greasy spoon type of food here at reasonable prices. Also open 24 hours a day! It is always crowded with lineups, but honestly I couldn't see what all the fuss was about.

“Pineapple Pancakes with Coconut Syrup - nuff said!”
Reviewed August 29, 2013

As the title implies, this can be very Hawaiian for a very decent price. Visiting from New England (the land of the cheap abundant delicious breakfast), the Wailana Coffee House would fit right in! The entire family loved all the different offerings. We went two mornings in a row before departing for our cruise. I attempted to try anything unique to Hawaii on the menu. I was not disappointed. Service could be a bit sporadic, but both mornings this place was rocking with customers. Each time we left, there was a line out the door. Prices better than most restaurants in the area. The fact that the dining room is filled with locals (and tourists alike, lucky enough to stumble upon this venue) provides a telltale sign that this is the place to stop. Great coffee too. I recommend the Wailana Coffee House, and boy do I miss those pancakes!

“Great kids breakfast deal”
Reviewed August 25, 2013

This place was quite popular with the locals and tourists. If you come a little later then it gets pretty packed. We came here a couple of times for breakfast because it was close to our hotel and because we read good reviews about a cheap meal in Waikiki. The kids meal was a great bargain, only $2.50 for 1 pancake, 2 bacon or sausage and 1 egg. More than enough for my 4 and 8 yr olds. I got the all you can eat pancake breakfast (came with 2 eggs and 2 bacon) for ~$5.65 and the French Toast plate another day ~$6.50. My husband got the omelette one day and the Belgian waffle another day which was a little more expensive. The service was good, the food was good (esp since you get coconut and strawberry syrups to go with your pancakes). Overall this is a great place to bring the kids and you get a pretty good bargain yourself too rather than paying $10 for breakfast somewhere else. We would definitely come back if we stayed closed to it again.
