“Not as good as it looks”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

We came here for lunch was impressed with the private lift entrance.
And then it went backwards.
They got around to taking our order Prawns & Scallops Salad and Lobster Maine Salad.
Before your meal arrives they serve you 6 pieces of Pizza, well if you ate this forget about enjoying your meal.
It was a good looking restaurant with its views out to sea but it was not sparkling like several restaurants we had been to in our previous days.
The waiting staff were not on the ball and seemed surley and wish they were somewhere else.
Now to the meals there were 3 prawns and 3 scallops small size in the Prawns & Scallop Salad and the Lobster Maine Salad was minced up Lobster with Mayo and several other things served on a bed of lettuce.
You hardly finish your meal when this fellow with a very large tray arrives at your table with all sorts of deserts.
We had Cream Pie and a sort of Strawberry Cheese cake.
It was all a bit of a disappointment.
Total cost just for food $67.

“Longhi's is still good.”
Reviewed September 9, 2012

We decided to try Longhi's since we were shopping on a Saturday at the mall. Having been to the one in Lahaina many times, it had a nice view overlooking the park, and since it was 7:30 the lights of the passing cruise ship were easily seen. We started with the Longhi, Longhi, Longhi salad with plenty of anchovies. As restaurant ceasar salads go,Longhi's is not that bad( most restaurants don't know how to make a "true" ceasar. No mayo in a ceasar and well the dressing should never be creamy/white etc.....However.

We ordered the salmon, which was wonderful and the veal Mediterranean. Both came with wonderful sauces and had plenty of flavor. We also ordered a half order of Pasta Pomodoro...excellent as always. The veal could have been a little warmer...the waiter was trying to bring everything at once, which is always a mistake. Longhi's is expensive.

“Great view!”

Great location! HOT during sunset but worth it! Not very well known for service but the guys at the bar are very good at making you feel at home. Last time I had dinner the server was a little snooty when we ordered pupu's only.

My waiter was not good but the food was not as innovative and tasty as what I remember in Lahaina. I didn't even see the Jalapeno bread on the menu and asked about it after my meal and waiter said they still made it. You would think since it was a specialty it would be mentioned and at least by the waiter.

“What a colossal waste of money!”
Reviewed July 14, 2012

Having previously enjoyed a wonderful meal at Longhi's in Lahaina, Maui, we were excited to find a Longhi's in Honolulu What a disappointment!! While we expected a "pricey" meal, we didn't expect poor taste and a head waiter who was uninformative and unconcerned about our experience. I ordered what I anticipated to be a standard dish but instead was presented with an overflowing platter of food clearly meant to be eaten by 2-3 people. My surprise was obviously evident to our waiter but he expressed no concern, even when informed by the gentleman assisting him that 3/4 of the meal was sent back to the kitchen. Rather he avoided me completely and proceeded to rudely "scold" his assistant in public. So at the market price of $81.00 for my entree alone, I left not only unsatisfied by the poor taste of the food but also by the disinterest and rudeness of our waiter. We will NEVER return to Longhi's and would not recommend it to anyone else either.
