The food was good but it was expensive. There were not many fish in the aquarium and it could do with a renovation. There are better restaurants around for less money.

A little costly given the competition around Waikiki but kids loved it as they could eat as much desert as they liked! Mermaid show was only 5-10 mins long and only one maid but again, kids still loved it. Note - Mermaid wears a snorkel mask so believability is a little low.

The main strength of this restaurant is the large aquarium, which had a show with a a mermaid and a diver while we were there. The diver played with the ray for awhile, keeping the kids--and many adults--amused. Good food. Actually, while I usually find buffets to have poor quality food, the Oceanarium was surprisingly good. Perhaps the dessert table could be improved, but otherwise the restaurant exceeded my expectations. I found the $8.75 charge for my daughter's virgin blue Hawaii (essentially a shaved ice) to be high, but I suppose that is not out of keeping with similar restaurants in a tourist area.
Service was pretty good.

Sampled the breaky buffet - well worth it & ask for a table near the oceanarium. Tried to book for fish feeding at dinner but no chance.

This was our third time here (third trip) in over 10 years...did not disappoint. Everything looked great but concentrated on our favorites...king crab legs and prime rib...both excellent. Service very good...coffee, tea, fruit punch included with timely refills...friendly waiter. Desserts outstanding...delicious bread pudding, cakes, pies, cobbler plus creamy soft-serve ice cream with several toppings. If you are a senior, you can get a generous discount. A 'must do' for us!
