“Walked out as fast as we could”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

We arrived in Honolulu yesterday (10/13) and had a big buffet breakfast this morning. Later, about 1:30, decided to have a bite to eat, and stopped at this restaurant, which is downstairs in our hotel. Looked at the menu, and decided on two appetizers for a small lunch. Sat ourselves outside, where only one other table was taken at that time. When we gave our order, the waiter became very pushy to order the "Special 3 course Lunch", which cost $18.95 each. We told him that we were not really hungry. His response, "It's ONLY $20, so you can leave the food". I told him that $20 each (only for the food. Tax, tip, drink not included) for lunch is not that small an amount, especially when one is not hungry. He became rude and argumentative. Also, obviously does not know his math. Our two appetizers added up to $23.00, yet he argued that the total for them would be more than for the two specials.

I stood up, told him that we don't like this place, and we began leaving. Heard him muttering all sorts of unflattering remarks (about us) as we walked out.

UNBELIEVABLE!

“Great pizza”
Reviewed October 13, 2013

Arugula pizza is my favorite. Fetcchine with fresh asparagus is excellent. This time my husband ordered veal saltinboca which was excellent. Their reservation fills out quickly but walk in wasn't more than 20 min wait. Worth a try. If you go after 7:30pm usually it's less wait.

“Great service”

Excellent food and great waiter! I celebrated my birthday there and the tiramisu cake was awesome. I recommend this place for everyone to try especially if you like Italian food.

“Savory crêpes for breakfast”
Reviewed October 10, 2013

Not particularly Italian— but the crêpes and tomato bisque soup make a nice change of pace from the usual hotel breakfast in Honolulu. Refillable coffee is available à la carte. You need not choose the whole juice-coffee-yoghurt buffet.

It is easier and less noisy to get an inside table. Service is very agreeable and very polite. The newer Beach Walk branch at the other end of Waikiki may be more authentic for full-scale wining/ dining.

Beware the Marriott's validated valet parking charge of $12. Walk instead!

“Amazing service and tasty breakfast”
Reviewed October 3, 2013

Service: We randomly strolled into this restaurant looking for a place to have breakfast. We only had to wait about 5 min before we were seated out on the patio at our request. The service was absolutely top-notch, from the host that took down our name to the other wait staff to our server - they were so friendly, attentive and professional.

Atmosphere: The restaurant is tastefully decorated and the restaurant had a very classy feel to it minus any stuck-up vibes that some high-end restaurants can give you.

Value and quality: I ordered the prosciutto, arugula, & tomato hot crepe with the yogurt with fruit. The crepe and yogurt was delicious and so beautifully plated. In terms of the value, the crepe was $10.95US and the yogurt was $3.95US so very reasonably priced. However, where they get you is the $5.96 all-you-can-drink. In most breakfast places you order a cup of coffee and refills are free. Here though we did not get an option to order drinks a la carte. So, my husband and I together paid $12US excluding tax for our coffee and juice. You do have to get up and pick up your own drink from the drinks station which I didn't mind.
