We were treated to dinner, at Hatsuhana, by my sister and her husband. My husband and I enjoyed the succulent duck with fresh carrots, broccoli and potatoes and the melt-in-your-mouth butterfish with cucumber, asparagus, lettuce and two potato dumplings. The fish was very filling, despite its' appearance of a small serving. Teriyaki sauce comes, on the side, with each dish.

The décor is simple wooden chairs and tables, carpeted floors and an occasional bouquet of Hawaiian flowers. The service was reasonably quick and the staff spoke English fluently. There is no menu on their website for this location and the food offered is different in Honolulu, compared to the other restaurants in this chain.

If we are in the area, we would eat here again.

Food and service are fine but there are better choices if you are willing to leave the Hilton village area.

Having been to about a dozen different sushi bars in a myriad of states I had to try in Hawaii. This was the absolute best sushi I've ever had. The service was meh but the sushi, my word, so good. If you're in Waikiki, need a quick spot for lunch, and don't mind spending a little extra, by far the place to eat

The menu is very limited and the sushi is just average. Stick with Benihana which is about the same price, but so much better. The waitstaff at Hatsuhana were rude and most of the did not speak Engish and had a very hard time communicating with the customers.

There are no surprises in the Hilton Hawaiian Village's Hatsuhana restaurant -- respectable sushi and decent service in a simple setting. The selection of sakes was limited, but one could have a good meal for a fair price.
