“try the garlic fried rice”
Reviewed November 2, 2012

Stopped a walker on the street in Chinatown for a reataurant recommendation for Good Chinese Food. We followed his directions and suggestion. Service was attentive, food was delicious with good sized portions and reasonbly priced. 4 of us shared 4 orders and there was no charge for tea. 1113 smith street - phone 545-3008 . Bon Appetit

“Outstanding Chinese Food”
Reviewed November 2, 2012

My wife and I have eaten here 3 times in two years. Each meal was outstanding. On our most recent trip, we had Mu Shu Chicken, Seasonal Vegatables in Oyster Sauce, and Green Onion Pancakes. All three were outstanding, among the best we have had of these favorites. The location is in Honolulu's Chinatown, a bit off the tourist track, but easily reachable on the 20 Bus from Waikiki (it stops about 2 blocks away). The journey is well worth the trouble. The restaurant's exterior appearance is ordinary but don't let that deter you. Inside, the emphasis is on functionality, cleanliness, efficiency, high quality ingredients, careful preparation, and attentive service by staff who know what they're doing. You will not be disappointed. Most of the clientele appear to be local residents, with a smattering of tourists. Not to be missed!

“Great Chinese in Honolulu's Chinatown”
Reviewed November 1, 2012 via mobile

Restaurant is appealing and clean. Service was excellent and very helpful.

Chef's special fried rice was yummy as where the seafood and rice nodles.

Pot stickers with pork where delicious and light.

It seemed that everyone in the place was enjoying their meal.

Wonderful and highly recommended.

“Two Chopsticks up!”
Reviewed October 14, 2012

Hubby and I had tix for Joe Bonamassa, who was appearing at the Hawaii Theater in Chinatown district. The restaurant we hoped to dine in, which was close to the theater, was totally booked. We walked up two blocks to Smith Street and saw that LVNH had good reviews on Trip Advisor, so we tried it and had a fabulous meal! Hubby tried shrimp with walnuts-amazing, and I tried Kung Pao chicken-spicy and yummy. Service was a bit spotty but we finally finished in plenty of time to get to the theater for what was a wonderful show.

“Little Village Needs to improve serving style”
Reviewed September 30, 2012

We enjoyed our Walnut shrimp meal very much except for the total lack of pleasant service, Even though there were only 2 other occupied tables, and it was nowhere near closing time, our waitress couldn' t wait to get our order, serve us as quickly as she could dump the plates on the table and then reach over the busboy to throw our bill on the table. She was Chinese and I realize this kind of 'service' is a cultural thing, but we feel that Chinese restaurant owners in Honolulu need to take some lessons from their mainland countrymen.
