A little bit of info;
30 years old, Australian, love a good pub.
I didn't have food at this place, so cannot comment.
But if you like a good conventional Irish/Australian pub, this is the place to go.
I went along on a Friday night and arrived about 12:00am after drinking at another establishment. The security when I went in the door were very friendly and gave me no hassles (Australia drivers license okay to get in). I went along solo (escape the wife) to try and absord some local culture.
I walked in and the place was pretty busy. Great band playing in the corner and people surrounding the bar and dance floor. I easily squeezed my way through to the bar with no hassle and ordered a drink. Good priced pint and quick service. Went and sat down at a table and started talking to a few locals. Very easy going and happy to have a foreigner to hang out with.
I dont remember much from that point on. But if you want a relaxed pub type atmosphere, with a few characters around the place and somewhere to escape the (other) tourists in the area, this is the place to go.
They also allow smoking inside which is a bonus (for me), so stay away if you dont like that.
Highly recommended. I only gave it 4 stars because I need to leave room for improvement. They have live music 7 nights a week as well.
