My husband and I decided to try Sarento's lounge for happy hour wines and small plates one evening while staying in the hotel. Everything is discounted between 5:00 and 6:30PM in the lounge, which makes for a real bargain in a five star restaurant with a five star view of Honolulu. We started with a glass of wine (which turned into two) and the calamari fritti, which was our only disappointment of the evening. The appetizer was barely warm, the calamari rings rubbery. The marinara/aioli dipping sauce was tasty, though. We then sampled the penne pasta with spicy marinara, sausage, eggplant, and goat cheese, which was delicious and perfectly prepared. We also sampled the eggplant and multi-cheese cannelloni with marinara and arugula which was also wonderful. For dessert we tried the volcano hot fudge cake with vanilla gelato and macadamia nuts, which was superb. Dessert coffees with liqueurs completed our happy hour lounge meal. Our tab was just under $100.00, including tip. Our server Laine was wonderful, and overall we really enjoyed our dining experience at Sarento's. We would definitely return.

Having read the various reviews I was conflicted. I bit the bullet on a Friday night with my wife travel lim with me.

I went up for cocktails while she prepared in our room. FANTASTIC experience. They were slammed but Romy and his crew teamed up for great service.

Seated in the Dining room with a view of the harbor and the lagoon. Nice fireworks view (Tues and Fri at8). We had apps and split a salad. Good team service and solid food.
We ordered the Oso Bucco and the seafood pasta. The pasta was so-so but the Oso Bucco was THE BEST.

We were happy with the overall experience and will go back.

Reserve a table that faces the ocean at the time if the sunset. You won't regret the view. As for the food, it was better than average with some very fresh seafood. The service is very prompt and attentive. A bit on the pricier side, but great small corporate events. Enjoy!

We celebrated my son and his new wife's wedding here. I had contacted Mary before hand and she was more than helpful always responding to emails promptly . We had a small party of 13 and wanted a private room so we had the Wine Rack room. The view was amazing and the room we had was just what we had hoped for. Luckily enough the fireworks at the Hilton next door went off the same night which made for a nice touch. The food was great everyone enjoyed it, very flavourful . Mary had arranged for a cake to be made, red velvet with fresh flowers on it, it turned out better than I had anticipated and was presented beautifully. Our waiter wasn't overly friendly, but the others helping him made up for it, they always had a smile which he never did. Take away the waiter and my son and his new wife's wedding dinner was amazing. Special thanks again to Mary for being so helpful and arranging a perfect cake, it was delicious.

Had a large party here and the service was excellent! The waiters were very attentive to our every need and the dinner moved along quickly, without being felt like we were rushed. Some food was okay, and the other dishes were great.
