Was recommended by my doctor and made reservations for Sunday evening since traffic during the week would be impossible (rush hour in Honolulu)! Celebrated a special occasion - "birthday". The restaurant went all out for the birthday person - had personalized menu with all of the staff signature and a special dessert as well. Everyone (3 of us) order a different appetizer.
"Da Bag" was unique in its presentation - remind us of a Big Jiffy Pop dish. I had the Seafood cakes. All of us were satisfied with our selection. We then had our main dish -Ginger crusted Onaga (Red snapper) and the others selected the Pan Steamed Opakapana (Pink Snapper). We thoroughly enjoyed our main dishes. We only had room for 1 dessert and selected "The Coconut". This is a must choice in selecting one of their dessert - will not be disappointed.

We all agreed that it was one of the best dining experiences we had in Honolulu.
The restaurant is not that big - located on a main street in an 'office building" - 3rd floor. Most likely you will have to use their valet parking service ($5 + tip).

Meal is not cheap but felt it is worth the price.

We chose to dine, at Alan Wong's, to celebrate our wedding anniversary and what a wonderful evening. From beginning to end, our experience was amazing! Delicious food, excellent service and the attention to detail, made for a great evening out. Thanks again, to the people at Alan Wong's, for making our night extra special!

We were seated at 7:45pm and the intolerably slow meal ended at 10:30pm. While there was plenty of seating in the dining room, we were stuck in a cramped uncomfortable corner of the restaurant. The restaurant has the ambience of a NY Chinatown establishment - open kitchen, clattering noise everywhere, waiters running here, there and everywhere, and a room full of conflicting odors. It took one half hour for our drink order to be taken, we stared at the finished appetizer plates for a half hour, and then waited a half hour for the check. Who our waiter was, could not be determined. The food was good, not spectacular, with high prices. Sometimes I wonder on wha basis the awards are given out?

Terrible service. Reservation for 8:15 seated at 9:00. Asked waiter to call taxi, he calls taxi then brings coffee menu so taxi arrives 3 minutes after coffee is served
