“GOOD FOOD, SERVICE LACKING”
Reviewed October 26, 2013

We were seated at 7:45pm and the intolerably slow meal ended at 10:30pm. While there was plenty of seating in the dining room, we were stuck in a cramped uncomfortable corner of the restaurant. The restaurant has the ambience of a NY Chinatown establishment - open kitchen, clattering noise everywhere, waiters running here, there and everywhere, and a room full of conflicting odors. It took one half hour for our drink order to be taken, we stared at the finished appetizer plates for a half hour, and then waited a half hour for the check. Who our waiter was, could not be determined. The food was good, not spectacular, with high prices. Sometimes I wonder on wha basis the awards are given out?

“Alan Wong's should have better service for prices they charge”
Reviewed October 24, 2013

Terrible service. Reservation for 8:15 seated at 9:00. Asked waiter to call taxi, he calls taxi then brings coffee menu so taxi arrives 3 minutes after coffee is served

“Memorable Gourmet Experience”
Reviewed October 22, 2013

Alan Wong's has been one of Oahu's premier dining experiences for the past 15 years. Impeccable menu selections prepared in highly creative ways make for a gastronomical adventure. Local and unique ingredient combinations are brilliantly conceived and presented. Tables near the window have a beautiful view of the mountains and are quieter. President Obama and his family dine here when they visit Honolulu.

“One of the best restaurants in Honolulu”
Reviewed October 22, 2013

I love going to Alan Wong's on a special occasion with the family. The food and service is the best when you tell them the occasion you're there for. The staff will treat you and the family well. I love anything that's on the menu and the desserts are great too.

“Excellent local sourced food”
Reviewed October 22, 2013

An excellent meal which I particularly liked the desert and coffee menu which proudly gave a choice of different chocolate and coffee's from various estates on the island - not often you see that on a menu.
