Had breakfast at Duke's my very first morning in Waikiki. I went based on the reviews that said it had the best beach views in town. After a long cold winter I wanted beach and I was not disappointed. We were there early enough to get a great seat by the rail of the balcony overlooking the beach. Heaven!!!

The breakfast buffet was good. It was16.95 and included all you can drink coffee and juice. The omelette bar was excellent as was the granola/cereal station and the eggs Benedict. The pancakes and French toast were just so-so. The selection of fresh fruit was ok. We left full and happy!

However, this bar, with all of its hype, really wasn't much to write home about. The drinks were okay (though our server was awesome). It was insanely busy both inside and outside, and seemed like there really weren't very many tables to begin with. They had a great band playing in the afternoon, and the clientele seemed to range from 18 - 75, which was good to see. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience but it sure wasn't anything out of the ordinary. We enjoyed other pubs far more in the same area.

We had lunch here while staying in the hotel. It was fine. The buffet looked very nice we just weren’t that hungry so we ordered off the menu. Duke’s is very popular in the late afternoon and has fantastic live music and a lovely sunset atmosphere.

We came here for dinner....cocktails amazing salad bar nice and fresh...meal just amazing prob one on the best meals I had in Waikiki!! We got a hula pie cause this is apparently what they are famous for but it's just vanilla ice cream cake with chocolate and macadamia?? It was nice but they should be more well known for there amazing food and great hosts :)

Without a reservation Saturday night, we waited an hour for a table and I was glad we did. We relaxed with a generously poured Mai Tai on a patio near the bar just yards from the ocean.

Fresh fish, an extensive salad bar, attentive service and a comfortable setting for our family of three night out.
