“A great meal”
Reviewed October 6, 2012

We had three great meals at dukes bar at the outrigger Waikiki on the beach and they were all great. Fresh and well prepared food and friendly courteous staff. Great beers too. Make sure you get a table near the verandah to take advantage of the view. The manager Dean is a great asset to the place.

“Best view at breakfast...”
Reviewed October 6, 2012 via mobile

My fiancé and I are staying at the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach, and Duke's has been our go to place for breakfast. The breakfast buffet is very nice, a great assortment of things to choose from. You can even ask them to make your own customized omelette. The staff are very nice and helpful, ask for an orange/guava/pineapple juice combo, it's so nice! Now the best thing about having breakfast at Dukes? The amazing beachfront view. It's so beautiful to see first thing in the morning. I would recommend coming here for breakfast.

“Enjoyable. We went several times.”
Reviewed October 5, 2012

This place is a bit of a haven of a place to dine in Waikiki. It has an outstanding (10/10) location on the beach front, it's easy to get to, the menu is good, the staff provide very good service, and really, you can't go wrong here. It's not high cuisine (you'll get closer to that at PF Changs) but this place is great. Go, if you have time.

“Fantastic Salad Bar! (And steak)”
Reviewed October 5, 2012

My hubby and I had an 8 night stay on Oahu and chose to eat at Dukes twice. The steaks and fish are very good and the salad bar the best I've ever had. They had very unusual and healthy choices at the salad bar (as well as all the usual fare) such as tabouleh salad, curried couscous salad, kale salad, and much, much more. The open sided restaurant is right on Waikiki beach and you can step outside to watch the sunset. On our second visit wandering musicians played classic Hawaiian music at our table. It is very popular so please make a reservation or go early on a week night.

“The Very Best”
Reviewed October 5, 2012

I've now been to Honolulu four times now over the past 5 years and I must say, Duke's, by far, is the very best place to eat. Yes, it might cost you a pretty penny and yes, if you don't make a reservation plan on waiting a while, but it's well worth it. We've made Duke's our traditional last dinner on the island before we leave. And what's not to like; the indoor/outdoor seating over looking the ocean, the quartet of local stringers that come around and play traditional music tableside, or the ambiance inside the restaurant that transports you to another place and time. How about the food, the salad and fruit bar, the steaks, the fish, all fresh and cooked to perfection and let's not forget about the wait staff, very friendly and they know the menu and food without question. Yes, if you're in Honolulu, you must eat at Duke's.
