Yum! We always make a stop at Leonard's Bakery when we visit. So worth the wait in line! I especially love the Li Hing Malasadas. Parking can be a little tricky but also so worth the effort.

Leonard's has always been one of my favorite places to stop to grab some Malasada's. My family has patronizing this place for well over 40 years. Yes, there are some copy cats out there, but when you're in the area make the stop. When these puppies are hot they are hard to beat; take it down with some hot coffee and you've got it made. My nieces husband loves them so much that we visited the place 4 times in 2 weeks while they were here on a visit. Be prepared to wait if you go during the midday as tour companies have now made this one of their must places to stop. The line at times goes out the door and a the wait can be a bit daunting, however, that should give you some indication of how good their Malasada's really are. The most important thing is to buy the regular Malasada's (unless you like the flavor of the month one).

The Real Deal. Love the traditional and cream filled ones. Haven't tried the other offerings, but have heard they are delicious too!

We discovered it by accident, we were hungry, stopping along the way and it was a pleasant surprise. The Leonard's products are excellent, the custards are tasty and delicate, amazing malasadas and pastries. Leonard's is a great little place, great for a snack or to indulge in a sweet tooth moment. The staff is friendly, the place is clean. There is also a small and convenient parking right on the side. We recommend it, it's worth it.

If you haven't been there before I like to explain what you have to expect:
- Most delicious hot Malasadas which are doughnut without holes
- Leonard's is not a restaurant, there are no tables, you take the box with the doughnuts and eat outside somehow and this does sometimes not look very appetizing. On my recent visit people stuffed their doughnuts into their faces all over the place some even sitting on the pavement in front of the restaurant.
- Be prepared to wait, there seems to be a line of people right out of the door at any time of the day.
- Stick to what Leonard's is famour for, the Malasadas and forget about the savoury stuff which they also have, it is not good.
- Parking in front of the bakery is limited but a little down the main street accross the road is ample space
Enjoy!
