Description: Join us for select Holiday brunch buffets, celebrate your family holiday traditions at Honolulu's most iconic restaurants. Hy's Steak House, one of the best-known steakhouses in Hawaii, has been a tradition in Waikiki for 40 years and continues to be a favorite with visitors and locals alike. Tuxedoed waiters expertly prepare Caesar Salad, carve Chateaubriand for two and flambè delicious desserts (like Bananas Foster and Cherries Jubilee ) tableside. The real specialties of this steak house, of course, are the USDA Prime grade cuts of beef - New York Strip, Porterhouse T-Bone, Delmonico and Filet Mignon - which are dry-aged and trimmed on the premises. The kiawe wood sears the steaks with an intense heat, while complementing the flavor of the fine beef perfectly. Enjoy a cognac or glass of Port from Hy's full bar in the intimacy of the library lounge, while enjoying the acoustic musical offerings of Audy Kimura, Vernon Sakata or Chris Hopper. Join us for Easter & Mother's Day Brunch.

Hy's Steak House is one of our favorite spots in Honolulu. It is popular with locals as a location to celebrate anniversaries, birthdays and special date nights. It was also a favorite spot for Tom Selleck during his magnum PI days.

Hy's offers traditional chophouse decor and experience. The menu features thick steaks grilled over kiawe wood (known as mesquite on the mainland) with caesar salad and deserts prepared table side. Staff, many who have worked at Hy's for over a decade, are very attentive. Hy's has a good wine list and a full bar for mixed drinks. Tip: Eating as a couple, ask for a booth. Reservations suggested.

We had a great steak dinner. better then BLT, Ruths Chris, etc but it is obscene to charge $12 for a 16 oz bottle of peregrine and we wouldn't go back on principle. We weren't expecting a bargain, as most steak houses run $50 to $75 a person... but with water prices like that, we'll skip it and tell all our friends to skip it too.

I have just visited Hy's which I have visited every year for the last six years and I like the fact that it consistently provides excellent service and food, the Caesar salad is fabulous and made table-side, the steaks are large and I can never finish them but are cooked to perfection, desserts are great I always have banana's foster, the wine list is fabulous and the service always very friendly and attentive, love the wood panelling it feels like a room in a grand old house, see you next year.

My husband and I absolutely loved the steaks!!! Definitely outstanding, but we would hope so when looking at the price. For two, be ready to spend at least $100-$150. As well, this was one of the fanciest restaurants we have been to in a long time. Don't be surprised if it's a little uptight inside. The host corrected my husband about his baseball cap as soon as he walked in the door, he didn't even give him a chance to take it off, which I found quite rude. Overall, great food, but be ready to be on your best manners.

Food was okay, but our waiter never checked on us.... a busboy realized we were abandoned and came back to see if we wanted to order desert - the busboy was great.... the waiter was one of the worst I had experienced - for an upper scale restaurant and for the price this was unacceptable.
