Description: Join us for select Holiday brunch buffets, celebrate your family holiday traditions at Honolulu's most iconic restaurants. Hy's Steak House, one of the best-known steakhouses in Hawaii, has been a tradition in Waikiki for 40 years and continues to be a favorite with visitors and locals alike. Tuxedoed waiters expertly prepare Caesar Salad, carve Chateaubriand for two and flambè delicious desserts (like Bananas Foster and Cherries Jubilee ) tableside. The real specialties of this steak house, of course, are the USDA Prime grade cuts of beef - New York Strip, Porterhouse T-Bone, Delmonico and Filet Mignon - which are dry-aged and trimmed on the premises. The kiawe wood sears the steaks with an intense heat, while complementing the flavor of the fine beef perfectly. Enjoy a cognac or glass of Port from Hy's full bar in the intimacy of the library lounge, while enjoying the acoustic musical offerings of Audy Kimura, Vernon Sakata or Chris Hopper. Join us for Easter & Mother's Day Brunch.

A friend from San Francisco recommended Hy's, saying it was like "the old" Alfred's restaurant in that city. An accurate description. Excellent steaks, Caesar salad for two made right at your table (not cheap; two salds for $30), old-fashioned decor and atmosphere and a great Hawaiian guitarist singing James Taylor and related songs. We did not have desserts. The restaurant describes itself as offering "affordable elegance." The latter word is true but this is an expensive restaurant, especially for persons coming from towns and cities where they may not be used to being served $50 steaks. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great steak in Honolulu..

The ambiance, atmosphere and service gets high marks at Hy's. There's an old, worldly charm that is incredibly romantic!

We took our children for a Saturday night dinner, and the elderly (male) General Manager made such a great impression on them. He spoke to them throughout the night and even remembered their names as we walked out the door! Every person who assisted us gave us incredible service without a doubt.

The children's menu was reasonable and even included prime rib. I really enjoyed the Domenico steak - very flavorful. We sat in an area where we watched our steaks cooked over an open grill. The escargot was delicious. My only regret is that I ate so much of my dinner that I didn't have room for desert.

Too expensive to dine on regular days; exceptions would be on one’s anniversary or birthday. Example, the fancy salad runs something like $18 (not including taxes) per person!! Yes, they prepare the dish in front of you, but … Also, the lobster and steak will set you back around $75.00, and the size of the lobster may be smaller than a large prawn. Undeniably, the service is fantastic. Oh, do not forget the parking is about $5.00 per vehicle.

Hy's was recommended by our hotel. Excellent service. The steaks were good, but nothing special. The best part of the meal was the flambé desserts! Oh my!!! They serve table side a chocolate flambé over berries and ice cream called the Chocolate Lovers. Incredible!! We also had the strawberry flambé. So good.

A great place to eat 100 yds from Hilton Hotel. Owned by a Canadian company the dining is formal but the service and food are superb.
