Went twice on the way to the windward coast and was not disappoint either time. Had the pineapple sausage hash the first time and cinnamon roll pancakes the second time, both were yummy. Service was good. Make sure you try the POG. On the second visit we had to wait about 20 minutes.

We had a late breakfast there a few days ago. The food was really good and service friendly and attentive (thanks Ian!). Breakfast portions are generous. Kalua pig eggs Benedict so delicious! Pancakes huge and fluffy- yum! My favorite thing tho was the French press coffee - best in town!

Alright peeps, Moena Cafe is located in the Koko Marina Shoppin Center in the quiet community of Hawaii Kai.
It's an easy stop for tourists who may be making their way around the island, headed to Hanauma Bay for a day of snorkeling, or headed to enjoy one of the many sights, beaches and/hikes the Windward side of Oahu has to offer.
The cafe itself isn't very large and can seat roughly 25 people. The waitstaff are always polite, professional, and accommodating. The service is always great, in my opinion.
Some menu suggestions are the French Toast, MC breakfast, or an acai bowl. Definitely don't get all three of these items or you won't be able to walk out the door! Haha!
The Moena Cafe is a must stop for tourists and locals alike. Go check it out and support local businesses! Mahalo!

Hit the Moana Cafe for a Sunday morning breakfast. This small cafe is located in the Koko Marina Shopping Center, in Hawaii Kai. Although we live in Hawaii Kai, we never had taken time try the restaurant. We'll probably be back. We had about a 20 minute wait. But there are lots of places to sit outside. In spite of the fact that there's a Zippy's just a few steps away, we avoided the temptation of quicker, cheaper food. I had the fried rice loco moco. Moana's loco moco is different from most. Instead of a hamburger patty, they use a slow cooked beef short rib, topped with two local eggs. The fried rice was very good and the brown gravy was ample. I was very full. My spouse had the MC breakfast, 2 eggs, breakfast meat and either home fries or fried rice. She took the home fries. Portions were of good size and service was decent considering how busy they were. The lunch menu looks very interesting, too. The downside is that the prices were on the high side. It was nearly a $40 breakfast for two when you include drinks, tax and tip. No doubt the food was excellent but the next time I might reconsider the Zippy's, on second thought, maybe not.
