After my third time at Lucky Belly the quality and consistency has been very good. Definite "Asian slant" with the food, yet sophisticated, fusion tastes and textures.
Limited, but excellent menu with excellent sake's and wines. Following in the footsteps of Side Street Inn; serve great food and the drinks and clients will follow.
Only downsides can be the wait; suggest a reservation especially on weekends. Parking is always a challenge, and ignore the Chinatown homeless; suggest the street after 6:00PM (free) or Mark's garage , two blocks away.
PS they have a very limited late night take out menu, through a take out window that fronts smith Street, that is supposed to be ono.

This place is lovely to be in with wood floors, brick walls but a warm industrial feel. Small plates were delicious with full bar service. Crowd picks up, and no reservations, so get there before 6 or you will wait on line. Lots of servers so device was prompt. Looking forward to my next visit.

We decided to pass through Chinatown on our way back to the airport before heading home. After walking through some of the galleries, we discovered this new restaurant on Hotel Street. We enjoyed a lunch of two different kinds of ramen - which really hit the spot as we had been craving ramen. I had the Shrimp Kim Chee Bowl, which had just the right amount of spice and perfectly cooked shrimp. For an appetizer we tried the Pork Belly Bao which was nicely presented and absolutely delicious - see the picture. The restaurant has a really nice atmosphere, wrapping around a bar in the center. Service was great; good music as well. We definitely will visit again and try to do dinner the next time.

We arrived at 6 pm on a Thursday and sat at the bar. The place was full by 7 pm. We shared the duck lumpia which had an amazing tamarind ginger sauce. We shared the beet salad that was actually a green salad with a beet marscapone terrine. It was quite tasty and the marscapone made each bite rich and delicious. They had a $28 special Osso Bucco that came with super creamy home made polenta and roasted cherry tomatoes. The combination of tender meat, corn and tomatoes was really tasty. We had a glass of wine and three drinks and the bill was $77. If we had stuck to the regular menu and drank less, it would obviously have been less. The service was professional yet personal and we will go back to try every dish - 5 pupus, 3 salads, 5 kinds of ramen -Give or take. Great atmosphere, nicely designed dishware, excellent food and great service!

We were taken to this restaurant by a local friend. It was a delightful surprise, open only 8 months. The service was helpful and knowledgable .The Ramen noodle dishes were the bast I have had! All three of our party had the Ramen dish. The taco dish that passed our table looked fantastic. One caution,it is busy, line up for early lunch around 11:15 . That way you will have a full belly to explore Chinatown.
