Owner description: The 310,000-sq.-ft. Royal Hawaiian Center sits on land once known as Helumoa, the home of Princess Bernice Pauahi Bishop in the 1870s and 1880s. It’s highlighted by the 33,000-square-foot Royal Grove, one of the largest open green spaces in Waikiki. Throughout the day, the event-friendly area showcases entertainment and cultural activities, including arts of Hawaiian quilting, lomilomi massage, ukulele playing, hula dancing, lei making and kapa cloth making. No worries if you’ve been at the beach and are covered with sand. That’s the case with most visitors!

I remember when this place looked half high-end and the some stores reminded of an indoor swap meet! Sorry! But now they are on Luxury Row and the decor reminds me of Rodeo Drive and not designed like something from a luau. That is not a bad thing, though. Honestly miss how it used to be cause of great times I spent there before the remodeling.:-(

Beautiful area, great, high end stores and a reasonably priced food court with lots of options. I recommend the Hawaiian BBQ and Mahaloha burgers.

I have purchased photographic pieces from Lee Rylee. Make sure you find his kiosk at the west end of Royal Hawaiian Center.

When visiting Oahu the Royal Hawaiian Center is a great place to do a little shopping. It's a very well maintained mall with friendly staff. The Polynesian Cultural Center does free shows most late mornings.
