“Awesome location”
Reviewed January 12, 2014 via mobile

The hostel is one block from Waikiki beach which is awesome. The kitchen and kitchen equipment in the outside common área is really cool if you plan to hangout and make friends. Staff is also really nice. The rooms are ok meaning normal, I slept in a 6 bed room took a shower everything was ok. Theres a 10 dollar ley deposit and if you want to park inside its 10 usd also. I would definitely recommended for backpackers and people looking to make friends.

I just needed a place, wasn't too fussy.. Bed was clean, got my linens. Shared with 3 other ppl and it was ok. $30 fr the airport. 5 mins from the beach. No computer to use in case u didn't carry a phone or laptop or tablet but there is a place nearby. All in all it was cheap and close to where I needed to join my cruise ship

Thanks to Grandpa and the crew for a great stay! The tour to the north shore was amazing and kayaking, too. Everyone was friendly and helpful.
The location is excellent, with Lulu's bar right around the corner and the beach only a few steps away.
There are lockers in all the rooms and the gates are locked at night, so I felt quite safe. Also, the rooms all have key cards.
The 12 bed dorm is a bit crowded but you can't beat the price.

This was possibly the friendliest hostel I have ever visited. The staff are ace and the tours fantastic! I went without a plan and everyone was extremely helpful in helping me find cheap car hire and visit sites. The tours go to great spots that I wouldn't have seen otherwise and were the highlight of the trip. The rooms are a bit worn, but cleaned daily.

Room Tip: The 4 bed dorm is quieter and more spacious.

I spent one night in the "semi-private" with shared bathroom, which is actually a tiny dirty room across a dorm. The towels were stinking of dogs and I did not shower as the bathroom was disgusting (see the picture I added). I never the saw the Alphonso pancakes. This place may be ok for backpackers that don't mind living in dirt. For 10$ more, i move to Aqua Aloha surf that I would recommend!

It's the worse place you can imagine! I have spent one night with my husband in this hostel only because they don't refund money!!! Room was dirty and smelly, towels were stinky, and it was extremely noisy!!! We slept in semi private room, and to enter the room we had to cross a dorm room! We paid 65 $ and hotel next doors costs 90 $!!!!

The 'private room' was filthy but the owner has to be commended for the use of mold in the bathroom. It would be a shame to actually clean the bathroom and have all that build up of mold disappear. I'm surprised that the department of health has not shut this place down.

Room Tip: May be a good value for a single person but not for a group who want to share a room.
