This is a great free show to begin your evening. It is also beautiful because the show usually starts just before the sunset. It is a breathtaking view while watching the show.

I lived in Waikiki for a few years back in the day, and we used to walk down to this free hula show all of the time. Why wouldn't you catch free hula in Hawaii? Some families like to make it a Waikiki beach day and end it with the show. Since you have to plop down on the ground about an hour before the show to get a choice seat, in the summer I suggest grabbing some snacks at ABC across the street, or Food Pantry a little further away (better prices) and making it a pic nic night. You can't grab dinner before and get a real good seat, and the restaurants nearby get flooded right after. If it is your first time in Hawaii, book a real luau or a trip the PCC for higher caliber hula. These are local kids, teens, and adults who dance for free. In fact, you can see hula free so many places, once you've been to a luau once, you will just want to sneak your hula in for free. This is one of the best ways to do that.

We checked this out one Tuesday night, we arrived about 15 minutes before and found a spot on the side... Most of the best spots were taken, but we could see just fine on the side... The shell blowing, music and dancing were awesome, and managed to keep our 3 and 5 year olds entertained the whole hour! A free event, it's a nice way to spend an evening...

We didn't get to go during the weekdays and waited for the Sunday show. Came back, especially on time just to find out the Sunday show was cancelled a few months ago...

Beautiful setting and the place was packed. This will be one of my best memories of Waikiki. The music was good. A fun evening!
