I chose Shoreline based on previous guests' reviews and now that I am a previous guest, I am here to tell you that you will not regret staying at this contemporary, well-located hotel in the heart of Waikiki. It is located within walking distance to the beach, shops, the famous International Market Place, and close to excellent food places, including ChaChaCha .... a Mexican restaurant located in Shoreline. But what impressed my husband and I the most was the excellent service we received from beginning of our stay to the very end of our stay. The staff always greeted you with a smile and went out of their way to make sure you received top notch service. "Mahalo nui loa and aloha" to our friends at Shoreline!

My wife and I stayed eight days at the Shoreline Hotel. A big Mahalo to Tyson at the front desk. Tyson is one of the best front desk problem solvers I have ever come across. We called him with a problem and he took control and solved it immediately. Tyson made us feel as though we were staying at the Ritz Carlton. There are two reasons why I didn't provide a 5 star rating, 1) The view from our side of the hotel of one of the surrounding buildings (unless the Shoreline purchases the offensive building, I don't see what can be done). 2) The mattress seamed way too soft for me. Other then those two items I called this a Hidden Pearl because of its central location to everything you could possibly want to do in Honolulu and especially it's close proximity to Waikiki beach.

We stayed at the Shoreline for 6 nights in August 2013. Our room was nicely furnished, very clean and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We will stay at the Shoreline again. Again, the staff was helpful in giving us suggestions to beaches to visit away from the crowds and for related activities. The parking is tight and you do pay for parking but that was a good trade for their service and genuine caring attitude. The location is fantastic, right around the corner from shops, restaurants and the beach.

The Shoreline is a really pleasant hotel.

It's not waterfront; but it's so near as not to matter and it's probably half the price because of it.

The locations ace, right in the middle of Waikiki. The rooms are smallish but very well-appointed and clean. Every room (at least on our side of the hotel) has a balcony and a view across the area.

The staff were friendly and helpful. I really don't think you could find a better hotel for the price (& I did my homework on that before booking in).

Personally I think the hotel should cut its ties with the adjoining groundfloor restaurant (Cha cha cha) however. It's downmarket compared to the hotel (and Waikiki generally) and I watched a number of hotel users go in and quickly leave.

p.s The roof top pool's nothing to write home about (8 x 3 metres at a guess). Why anyone would want to use it with Waikiki beach only about 100 metres away is anyone's guess.

Room Tip: We were booked into a 'partial ocean view room'. From our 11th floor room I could see a thin...

I want to thank you for sharing your comments. Our prices are much lower than the beach front hotels, but you are not the first guest to comment on our amazing location. Some of our guests comment on how they feel that all the word-class shopping, dining, and beaches are all just an extension of our lobby. Everything is simply that close! We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed your time with us and we are excited for your next visit!

My partner and I stayed here for a little over a week and had a wonderful stay. After spending 2 weeks in a really quiet , remote and large cottage in Kauai we were concerned that this part of the holiday may not be as comfortable or enjoyable but we were wrong. This place was great in its own way. The first thing we noticed was the awesome lobby. It is really trendy and fresh and made a great first impression. Next the staff... So professional! No pretension - just quiet, polite and friendly people - all of them. They checked us in early after we arrived on an early flight from Kauai, which was not expected but appreciated. The room was small but nice, white, spotlessly clean and comfortable. It had a large flat screen TV, not a tiny little one. The bathroom was large, white, modern and also spotless. The bed was super comfy. The hotel has a rooftop pool which was bigger than I expected and also spotlessly clean. Someone else mentioned it could be updated but I liked it as is. I don't think it needs to be any fancier. In the lobby there is complimentary tea, coffee and water, along with an ice machine. There was also a couple of computers with free internet but the wifi in the rooms was super quick so we didn't use them. There was also complimentary newspapers available. This was our third visit to Waikiki and other hotels we have stayed at in the past have been noisy with both street noise and noise from other guests doors . We didn't hear much noise at all from the street, none of those pesky garbage trucks, and rarely heard other guests doors even though the hotel was full. Yes the air conditioner was a little loud at times, but we just turned it off and enjoyed the trade breezes. This hotel is in a great location close to everything. We walked everywhere including Ala Moana, Ward Centre, beaches, Diamond Head, but there is a bus stop close by to get you around if you are not a walker. In all, this place felt like a home away from home and I would definately stay here again. It is not luxurious, just clean and comfortable with a great, relaxed, down to earth vibe :0)

We are so glad we stayed at this hotel. We chose it based on Tripadvisor reviews and were not disappointed. This was our first visit to Honolulu and we would return to the Shoreline if we are lucky enough to visit again. The location was fantastic, right around the corner from all the shops and restaurants and Waikiki Beach. The staff were very friendly and always helpful. The room, though not large, was spotless, the bed comfortable and the bathroom well appointed. The air con was really effective tho a bit noisey. There was iced water in the lobby area every day which was much appreciated and free wifi. We felt so at home and were really impressed by this hotel and the lovely people who work there. Thanks for the wonderful memories. Christine Kelly Perth Australia
