“Clean, friendly and central”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 31, 2013

Excellent value as a base. Centrally located. The only downside was the lighting by the bed was too dim for those of us who like to read in bed and I have advised the hotel of this.
Otherwise very comfortable and clean.

I booked my first night through the Hotel Tonight app not knowing what to expect and was pleasantly surprised by this stylish hotel. It was very comfortable, had environmentally friendly features, and was a great location. Staff was helpful and I liked the bulletin board with events and weather updates. I decided to stay an additional night, booking at the normal rate, which is pretty decent for the area. I didn't use the pool because of the weather but the location is convention to the beach, buses, and shopping.

I love the Shoreline Hotel. We stayed awhile back when it was being renovated, and it was so great we booked with them again this trip. Its so beautiful now on the inside, and the staff are great! We will be coming back and forth to Honolulu for the next year, and we plan on booking with them every time for sure!

Room Tip: Book early, and don't forget to ask for Kama'aina deals!!

This was my first time to Honolulu. I'm on a budget and was looking for a hotel that was clean and within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Most of the budget hotels did not have great reviews. But, when I saw the reviews for Shoreline Hotel and the reasonably priced rooms and the fact that it was recently renovated I knew it would be a good choice.
The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The room was clean. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was up to date and spacious.
We didn't rent a car and it was easy to walk to the beach and shops. I would return to this hotel and highly recommend it.

Room Tip: Our room faced an unoccupied run down hotel. The room was quiet but, you may want a better view. We...

I stayed at the Shoreline just for one night when passing through Honolulu. Location was great - easy walk to the beach and shopping only a few hundred metres away. 100 metres to Kuhio from where you can catch city buses to many destinations including the Ala Moana Shopping Centre.

I usually stay at expensive hotel right on the beach but this was an excellent budget friendly choice. The room was small but had everything you need. One curious thing was there was a microwave but no cutlery, plates or anything you could use to cook with or eat off! The bed was extra comfy, pillows were excellent.

Bathroom was fine although a minor cleaning issue existed from the previous guest which I reported to the front desk. Amenities like safe in the room. The aircon was in a very big ugly panel facing the bed but an attempt had been made to partially cover it with posters/stickers. The aircon was effective and not too noisy.

Staff were efficient and very friendly

Thanks for a pleasant stay

Room Tip: I asked for a quiet room and was disappointed to get one facing the street. However there was minim...

We loved our stay at Shoreline Hotel. This hotel has the friendliest staff that we have ever encountered on our vacations.

We were very happy with our room. It was very clean and comfortable. The rooms are well lit. The room was small but very comfortable for a couple. The bathroom was very clean and bright.

The pool was a little weird. It is on the roof top and to access it, you have to go to the top floor and walk up another few sets of stairs to get to the roof and walk another set of stairs to access the pool. I'm not a huge fan of heights so I wasn't too eager to spend time up there. We also spent all of our time swimming in the ocean so I wasn't disappointed at all.

When we arrived there was no room in the valet parking and we were told that we would have to park in the parking garage across the street, but we were also advised to call the front desk in the morning to check and see if there are any openings. It took two days, but we did get the valet parking and it was worth it. The valet staff was super friendly and fast.

We were a little worried about the location of the hotel since it sat close to a few sketchy areas off Kuhio, but we were surprised at how quiet it was. It is a straight shot down the road to the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center and not too much further to the beach. You are also just behind the Waikiki Shopping Center with a few fun little shops inside.

When arriving to the hotel, we weren't sure what to expect. What a wonderful surprise finding this great boutique hotel in Waikiki. This is definitely a hotel we plan on staying in again and one we would suggest any couple, wanting to get away and relax, to stay.
