When we visited parking was a little hard to find a spot and was extremely busy bit anywhere on the weekend it is expected to be busy here. Beautiful park that should not be missed!

Ohau has amazing beach parks and this is one of them, great sheltered area and wonderful place to walk.
A large area with ample tree shade for picnicing. The beach and swim pool leave a lot to be desired, located near the mouth of the canal ... and the canal run off.
I went to this beach with my ten-year-old boy, and we had a great time. There were virtually no waves which made it very easy for a relaxing dip (swimming with or without a tube). Water was also clean. Although not ideal for snorkeling, I was able to spot a few fish around my legs as I was standing in about a 4-ft deep water. It does get quite deep suddenly, so be careful walking into the water. Sand was a bit rough compared to some other beaches, but it wasn’t too bad. We actually parked at the Ala Moana Center parking structure and walked over to the beach while my better half enjoyed shipping at the mall, and it worked out great.
We spent time each evening at this park, picnicked, watched the sunsets. There is a nice sidewalk for walking, picnic tables and paved walks through the park. There are clean washrooms, showers, concessions to buy food. there is a large parking lot, street parking a also available.
Spend a couple of hours here relaxing on the beach and swimming. Take a pleasure cruise from the west end. Worth a visit
