A beautiful park area for relaxing on or near the beach. The unfortunate part is all the numerous park benches and shaded sitting areas are used by homeless people to sleep and generally occupy these areas.

We loved this beach, and it was walking-distance from our hotel. Calm, warm waters, and nice and quiet. Definitely an upgrade from the narrow, crowded beaches in front of the Waikiki hotels. My husband did a lot of swimming and saw a few turtles. My favorite was watching the many couples from Japan having their wedding photos taken.
This beach is much quieter than Waikiki and makes for a nice visit. The water is nice for a swim; this is where we've done the swimming leg of local triathlons. It's a bit of a walk from Waikiki but not that far and worth a visit.
We went to this beach for the first time and found it very nice. The sand was not as nice as Kailua Beach, but it was not overly crowded, had restrooms with showers and had lovely views. Lots of people from Japan taking their wedding pictures here- interesting to watch. Also there were many locals there. Seemed to come late in the afternoon and brought their dinner to either eat or cook and then eat. Plenty of parking available, also ( it was a weekday).
This is a nice beach located right before Waikiki, but there are too many homeless people nearby. Our first visit was nice, but the second one not so much. We ended up leaving and going to Waikiki because the area where we had settled was dirty.
Beautiful like in the travel magazines, clean, no dirty people around during our stay. Can be wavy though.
