I always swim here when I visit Oahu. You are away from the main crowds of Waikiki yet still close to the Ala Moana Mall. The water is always good and there is an area to swim protected if the waves are strong.

This is the best location for 4th of July firework show. It is very crowded, but the location is great. We would hit the Ala Moana Mall during the day then head over to the park to see the firework show. The only downside to this is there is a bit of a homeless community that stays over there, but it does not bother me. That is everywhere and it is not like they bother anyone.

I really really liked this beach. Its nice and clean, much quieter than Waikiki beach and it has public toilets! You must go here at least once

Super place to walk and exercises.... mornings and evenings are more comfortable in the warmer periods.... yes, it is very close to the Moana Shopping Mall (largest mall on Oahu....)...... Ala Moana is close to several Waikiki Hotels.....

Beautiful, parking is tough, can become very crowded. A little tough to see the homeless but overall not aggressive at all. There were bikers, runners, walkers, people barbecuing. Overall very nice.
