Stayed here for 5 nights and was mostly happy with my stay. This hotel is across the street from Waikiki, so a quiet spot it is not. If you happen to be there on a Thursday there's a great farmer's market in the lobby in the afternoon, the food is good. Breakfast here is pricey, but the variety is good. Tip: Lots of breakfast places close by, so if you're on a budget you should eat out of hotel.

Room was large and clean, nice balcony so no complaints. I ate at both Japengo and Shor, Japengo is delicious, Shor merely ok. Again, budget eaters should leave the hotel. My only complaint is that the lunch options are poor.

Aloha,

Thank you for reviewing your stay. We are pleased to read that you enjoyed your stay specifically the location, cleanliness, Farmers Market and Japengo. We do regret you were not equally satisfied with SHOR and SWIM. We have shared your comments with the Director of Food and Beverage for additional review and discussion.

We hope you will stay with us again in the future.

we happen to get a beach view room, location is very close to beach, just a few yards, and the shopping area is close by too, I didn't like it much in Waikiki, too much of crowd, didn't feel like Hawaii, felt like I was in Japan.
I would not visit Waikiki ever again, too commercialized, dolphin tour was way too expensive than the Bahamas, so was helicopter ride, they want to just ripe you off..
Kauai was way better than Honolulu, Hyatt in Waikiki were very nice, staff was very nice too, but the bathrooms are way too small, so was the closet. more than suring, there were more people shopping.
for breakfast, there were long lines, regency club was private but limited breakfast items, not much choice.
spa was expensive compared to the one in Hyatt Kauai spa.

Room Tip: try getting room with a good view, water was a bit cold in Feb try march or April , if you are a bea...

Picture this: 39th floor suite with 3 balconies, each with it's set of lounge furniture, a bedroom suite with a flat screen TV (and a very special toilet), an office with a separate 1/2 bath, a living room with the second flat screen TV(this one connected to a Bose sound system) and views of Diamond Head and the beach.

There was a Thursday Farmer's Market on the first floor while we were there. It was packed with stalls of fresh isalnd produce and handicrafts.

It was an upgrade we'll never forget.

It was heavenly.

Room Tip: Diamond Head Tower with views of the ocean and the mountain is our favorite venue.

Had a mess up at check in resulting in them taking about £400 off our holiday money card, which was taking ages for them to return meaning we couldn't book any trips.
Sea view room if you hung off the balcony abit which I wouldn't advise at over 30 floors up.
Waikiki in general isn't somewhere I'd go back too although it was a nice holiday, pretty much a concrete jungle.
Pearl harbour is a must if you go to Honolulu and the luau night is amazing.
I think it will have to be Maui next time!!

Although it was weird to be going to the mall to get from the reception to your room, but the location of the hotel was awesome. It is directly across from Waikiki Beach. They also have toys/beach chairs that you can borrow from the pool desk so you can bring it to the beach.

The room were a bit outdated for being a Hyatt Regency. I've stayed at many Hyatts and this place definitely can use a bit of renovation. The room was spacious though.

I would return mainly because of the location! :)

Had a fantastic 5 days, would have liked an ocean front room, next time for sure, had buffet breakfast included and it was fabulous, get there early for best spot along waterfront. We will return and return to the Hyatt, even though it could do with a freshen up here and there it is in a great location, staff are friendly, beach straight across the road, shopping in hotel is fabulous, what more could u want, we will return and for a longer stay.

Could not believe how great the location is for this hotel. 20 metres from Waikiki beach and also the upmarket shopping stripe. You can be on your balcony or on the beach and your right in all the action. Great swimming pool and spa, the massage is pretty expensive. YOLO
