We had our first visit to Hawaii and it was great. On arrival Dan at the check in could not have been more helpful. Our room was lovely, very comfortable beds and overlooking the beach. Great location .all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were a great start and we particularly liked the Express Breakfast. The hotel has a great location so close to shops and eating places. The Three Beans Coffee Shop rejuvenated us every night. We loved every part of our stay at this friendly hotel.

Room Tip: We had a partial ocean view. Very nice to sit out on the balcony and look at the sea.

The resort was very good. Clean and with many amenities gave us the opportunity to rest and to enjoy our time in Hawaii.

Swimming pool a bit small, but all amenities helps to spend time over there

Rooms quite big and confortable

With this hotel being right across the street from the Waikiki Beach and the fact that it is a Hyatt, we expected a better hotel. The lobby is beautiful but the rooms need to be renovated. The bath was dirty, the carpets were tattered and needed to be cleaned. Having booked our tour over a year ago, we requested a king size be and ended up with two doubles since the hotel had a shortage of king size beds. Convenient to the beach is great but being called a resort and spa usually means this is a five star hotel and this doesn't come close. We were told this hotel was built in the late 80's and the rooms look as if they are the way they were when they were built. The pool is very small and gets crowded very quickly.

Room Tip: If you stay at this hotel make sure you get a room on a high floor and facing the beach otherwise yo...

We visited the Hyatt in March of 2012 and were very disappointed. We checked into our room to find that the carpet was very soiled, and overall the room was quite dingy. They moved us to a newer room on a higher floor which was nicer. Seemed like it had been renovated recently. Lobby area was very dark and dated...almost like it hadn't had any renovations in 25 years....was 80s decor. The restaurants seemed to have been recently renovated and were nice Location was right on Waikiki Beach and a very busy area. Lots to see and do.
Hopefully they have done some renovations since our visit...it sure needs it!

Hyatt Regency is located directly across Waikiki Beach and the beautiful ocean. Hyatt recently renovated the two tower hotel, especially the pool area and bar. Close to nearby attractions, such as Diamond Head, the Zoo, beaches, shopping and restaurants, Hyatt Regency is in the middle of it all. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel for your next Hawaiian vacation!

The hotel is very big with two towers, all the staff where very friendly and the rooms where large and clean.
Disappointed we didn't get a beach view as the city view was quite noisy. Not much variety in restaurants but its smack bang in the middle of all action so you can pretty much get anywhere from this hotel.
The trolley and buses to the outlet pick you up from the front, and there are restaurants within walking distance and its near all the shops.
It is in need of an update which I understand they may be doing soon.
Bare in mind the beach is across the road, it is not beachfront and the pool is very small so if you don't like sand the pool probably won't suffice.
Don't include breakfast as the queues are horrendous, we didn't have it included and where very thankful when we saw the line of people one morning, the coffee shop on the ground floor is good.
Overall a good stay.

The room was clean and comfortable. Nice location right in front of the beach. Wish the pool was bigger. Great value for the price we paid!! Many restaurants and shops within a walking distance. We rented a car for a week, but really there was no need.
