I have just come back from spending 7 nights and 8 days staying at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki I could not be any happier with the staff, location and overall ambience of the Hotel.

As this was my first big trip overseas with just one other friend we find ourselves in the midst of the all the action.

Upon checking in we were upgraded to the 38th floor of a 40 floor Hotel on the Diamond Head side. The view was breathtaking! The room itself was spacious and the bathroom size was more then enough. We had so much room to put ALL our shopping bags and still walk around freely. Beds were made daily. There is no better feeling then walking into your room with freshly made beds and having all your amenities replaced in full.

As soon as you get downstairs to the ground level you are greeted with Waikiki beach. About two blocks away on the Diamond head side you find yourself at the Honolulu Zoo and if you walk one block further you find you're at the Aquarium. Albeit they are quiet small the convenience of killing time was great.

Most of the other shops were right around the corner and everything you want and need is within walking distance.

The staff were more then helpful, they were there to assist us at any given moment. Whilst waiting for our tour bus the gentleman at the bell desk offered us water to drink whilst we waited. This is the kind of service you don't get at home unless you've spent an extreme amount of money.

I plan on going back there again next year and am definitely going to book my stay at the Hyatt Regency, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

We booked our Hawaii holiday through My Hawaii, they were great. They organised everything, were very professional and helpful. I highly recommend them. The flight with Hawian Airlines was good, the hostesses were friendly and happy to assist you. The transfer to the hotel was flawless. The Hyatt Regency was impressive. The rooms were spacious and the view from the balcony was breathtaking (ocean view room). The staff were friendly and ever happy to help. The buffet breakfast was amazing, so much food.

Room Tip: Go for the ocean view room, it's worth it.

We stayed here in August 2012 for a week. We were upgraded to an ocean facing room and the view was fantastic, which more than made up for the dated decor and small bathroom.
The hotel is large with two towers, the lifts were always full and so it was inevitably a long wait to go up at peak times. The pool is small and crowded, but with the beach just across the road this wasn't really a problem and since the hotel provides beach towels, chairs and inflatatables we spent most of our time on the beach.
The hotel is pretty with various shops and a waterfall, plus a few restaurants, although we only tried the sushi one which was very good. The location is fantastic, you have a huge choice of restaurants and shops on the doorstep. Overall the staff were friendly and helpfull, but not all of the Concierges were as well informed as you would expect, eg. didn't know about buses or trams. Would stay here again.

Room Tip: Sea facing rooms are noisy, but the view is worth it!

Staff was A++! Everywhere you went the staff greeted us and were super friendly. The front desk clerk, Min was very fun and engaging. We went to our room and it was spacious. The bathroom is a little outdated but the room was big and the view was amazing. Happy hour was okay. The prices of non-alcoholic drinks were $8 and the alcoholic drinks were $4. The nachos had a processed cheese topping so I would pass on that. The other appetizers were okay. Asian pool man was super friendly everyday. It was so nice to see someone so happy. Hotel is right on the beach. Fabulous location with friendly staff! I would definitely come back!

Room Tip: High floor. Ocean view

Aloha,

Thank you for the feedback. Thank you for sharing the non-alcoholic drink price at Happy Hour. We've forwarded that to our Director of Food and Beverage for consideration. We've also shared you kind remarks regarding the pool staff. Perhaps you are referring to Dado -- he gets a lot of compliments. We hope to serve you again in the future.

Can't say enough good things about this hotel.Fantastic reception staff, especially Andy, who went to great lengths to help us out and alter our room after a slight injury to my wife.Food in the hotel was 11/10 , with a brilliant full breakfast and top class [for price and quality] eatery's within the complex. ABC store inside hotel was great value with discount prices on drinks and all other handy little bits. There is no doubt if i was to stay in Waikiki again, i wouldn't stay any other place.

Room Tip: Higher rooms we help block out street noise.

This was our first visit to Hawaii. We booked through My Holiday center on the Gold Coast. The package was great. I recommend that if you are flying with Hawaiian Airlines from Brisbane you need to get there at least 3 to3 and a half hours prior to flight departure. We arrived at check in 2 hrs prior and spent almost the entire two hours in the line. At 6.05pm 25 minutes prior to departure we finally got to check in. We were then rushed through customs no duty just straight onto the plane. The flight was great service excellent. We were met by Roberts Tours then all aboard the bus to our Hotel the Hyatt. The bus driver was great and gave a running commentary along the way. On arrival at the Hyatt our bags were placed into holding as it was 9am and check in was not until three. They did however ask us to come back at twelve as the rooms maybe ready, which they were. We had our two boys 18 and 19 with us. They had their own room on the 18th floor. We had a room with a king bed on the 22nd floor. The rooms were lovely and spacious. Unfortunately our room was located next to the lifts we spent two nights awake due to the noise. I approached the front desk only to be told that they were fully booked, after some initial discussions i met with the Supervisor. She was excellent and found us another room away from the lifts on the 33rd floor. The room had two double beds, the original room had a king, I again approached the Supervisor which she again apologized but the hotel was fully booked. When we checked out she had arranged to waver the room tax rate for both rooms which was a pleasant surprise. The hotel is very large and a great location across from Waikii Beach. The restaurants, bars and shopping was fantastic. Staff unreal extremely polite and service first class. We hired a car from Budget at the hotel its best to hire it on a daily basis as the Hyatt charges 30.00 US per night for a car park. We hired on a need basis. Highly recommend hiring a convertable mustang and head to the North Shore. It was great stopping at Sunst Beach Pipe Line and Turtle Bay Resort. The drive was easy once you got used to driving on the wrong side of the road. The package included Breakfast daily which was unreal, and other tours which we did not end up taking as we were to busy having fun finding our own way around. The public transport is great. Alo Moana shopping Centre a must for all shoppers had so much fun. Make up and any Amercian products really cheap. Armani Exchange amazing, Went out to the outlet shopping it was okay if you have the time. Along the front of our hotel shopping great. Dining superb must book at least two days in advance and go to Dukes on the Beach a five minute walk from the Hyatt and also Johhny Buffets again about five minute walks. Be aware all the meals are huge. Thanks to our travel agent My Holiday Center at Broadbeach our visit was smooth and first class. The service we received was fantastic and we should look at our own level of service here in Aussie. Highly recommend the trip. Great value for money. PS> Had my first surf at Waikii on a long board water amazing

Room Tip: Ensure your room is away from the lift.If you require early check in you could pay for an extra nigh...
