“Great Day Out”
Reviewed April 13, 2013

During our visit to Honolulu we wanted to visit Pearl Harbour as well as see a bit more of Oahu. We booked a full day Oahu Circle Island Tour with Pearl Harbour. It was an early start – 5.50am pick-up at our hotel! This is fairly normal for Pearl Harbour tours as they get you there in time for it opening so it is less busy. Our guide Josh gave us instructions on the best place to be on the boat out and back from the memorial and how to get it – it sounded complicated but somehow we remembered it and it worked a treat! It goes without saying that Pearl Harbour is a must see.
The round island trip was fantastic – great scenery, entertaining and informative guide. We even saw some turtles on a beach. We had pre-ordered lunch – a choice of salad or sandwiches. Instead of eating lunch with the other tour groups up at the café, Josh drove us to a quiet picnic spot by a lake, we were the only group there. Another bonus of choosing the Discover Hawaii tour.
Oahu is so much more than Honolulu and the beach so make an effort to see more of the island. We would certainly recommend doing it with Discover Hawaii Tours.

“A great way to see ALOT of Oahu”
Reviewed April 1, 2013

We returned recently from our first, but definately not our last trip to Hawaii. Our guide " Cousin Mark" was incredible. He shared a wealth of information, showed us beautiful sites, was patient to answer questions and wait on photos. We saw blow holes along the Northshore, the beach area where From Here to Eternity was filmed, we spent some time at the Dole Plantation where we enjoyed Pineapple "whip" - yummy! Spent alot of time in Wionoa Valley at the most incredible waterfall. Saw filiming of t.v.'s Hawaii 5-0, went to a gorgeous Buddahist temple, and had an amazing lunch at the Crouching Lion - took so many pictures!! A definate for those who want to see A LOT in a day! If you book - be sure to ask for a tour day where " Cousin Mark" can be your guide!

“Pearl Harbor and Circle Island tour”
Reviewed March 29, 2013

Tour included a Pearl Harbor visit, so we got picked up at 6:10am. First stop was Pearl Harbor to beat the crowd. We spent about 2 hours at Pearl Harbor, watched footage of December 7th attack, and a visit to USS Arizona Memorial. Next stop was Dole Plantation, we tried out the Pineapple ice cream and it's very tasty and really pineapple flavorful. Bought golden pineapple chunks and sweet papaya chunks... There was a road accident that slowed us down and I think we ran out of time so we passed by Byodo-In Temple, Chinaman's Hat, Mormon Temple, stopped by Kualoa Ranch to pick up our lunch boxes and went to a place by a fish pond for lunch. Lunch was nothing fancy, just a roast beef sandwich and bag of chip and bottle water. We did stop by Nuuanu Pali lookout, Hanauma Bay, Blow Hole lookout. Overall we spent so much time on the road and on the bus, fortunately our tour guide, Taviti was excellent, knowledgeable, yet funny and kept us entertained, laughing... Taviti taught us singing Hawaiian "Just hang loose..." song. We had good time. Good tour to explore the Oahu island.
