“Delicious curries at reasonable prices”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 3, 2013

This Thai restaurant in Kaimuki was a delightful surprise. They offer a variety of options, at least seven or eight different curries, seafood, rice and noodles, appetizers and desserts. Our family of five ordered the pad thai and three different curries. We shared the dishes family style- with four entrees and some appetizers there were plenty of leftovers. The panang curry was very tasty, You can choose whether to have it with shrimp, chicken, beef or pork. "To Thai for- homestyle curry" had a somewhat sweet sour taste with lots of ong choy. The third curry we tried was the yellow curry- lots of potatoes and carrots-- all three with distinctive different tastes; all three delicious!! The prices were reasonable-- about $12-15 and ample portions to share. Brown rice, white rice, sticky rice are ala carte- but ample portions at $2.00 apiece. Next time I'll leave room for dessert!! In addition to the mango and sweet sticky rice, they had other interesting options. This neighborhood eatery is a repeat for us!!

“A "Locals" Place Away From The Tourists”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 3, 2013

Visiting Honolulu and tired of the tourist crowds? To Thai For is a good choice. Low key, attentive service, full bar and a good menu. We particularly enjoyed the "To Thai For Happy Platter". Highly recommended.

“The Best Thai on the Island”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 27, 2013

To Thai For, is the best Thai food on the island. We love it so much, we have become weekly regulars-yes, weekly!
*The popcorn chicken is crisp, crunchy and coated with perfectly balanced spicy and sweet sauce. It rests on a bed of cabbage and carrots which absorb the unique flavors to become a wonderful treat once the chicken is devoured.
*The summer rolls are the perfect appetizer, generously filled with lettuce, chicken (or pork/tofu) and a variety of vegetables. There are 6 pieces in an order and come with the most succulent, finger-licking sauce ever! I save some of sauce to pour on my rice!
*Entree favorites include: Buddahs Joy (or any other stir fry) and Pad Thai and Green Curry!
The spice is authentic and can go as hot as you like.
The atmosphere is friendly, clean and enjoyable.
Chang Beer pairs perfectly with any dish.
Overall 5 Stars!
The food is truly To Thai For!!!!

“creative selections for Thai restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 28, 2013 via mobile

We enjoyed dining here for the second time. Not disappointed. Ordered crab fried brown rice and sea food fried brown rice. Chunks of seafood and delicious Thai Jasmine rice. Friendly service and reasonable cost with ample portions. Our dishes cost $16 each. Average decor.

“Great menu with a relaxing atmosphere.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2013

Excellent menu, tasty and generous servings. Recommend their Tom Yum soup, would be great if you have a cold, with Thai ginger and Lemon grass and Kafir Lime leaves, it helps to "chase away"' the sniffles. ;-)
