We booked this hotel because of the 4 twin beds. Very rare to find this. Loved this feature. The small kitchen was handy and a grocery store near by.
This hotel had the feel of a motor lodge, I felt like I was in a 'parking ramp'. The bus line is in front of hotel, good for getting around, but the noise woke me at 6AM every day.
Get a room away from the street or up higher (we were on 6 floor)
Staff was great! Friendly & helpful.
Location is good, transportation good, walk easily to beach etc.
Good value, but does not have an 'island' feel. You are in the heart of a big city.

Aloha and thank you for submitting your review to trip advisor. We were pleased to read that you found our 4 twin beds in our one bedroom with kitchenette units a “rare find”. We have had many guests discover this rarity and it help to make their stay much more comfortable and enjoyable. The building that houses our one bedroom with kitchenettes was built in 1960, hence the feeling of a motor lodge. We do also have another building attached to our Luana Wing which is called the Malia Tower. This tower is much more updated with central air conditioning and a recent renovation. The Luana Wing can be noisy as it is located right on busy, busy Royal Hawaiian Avenue. I would like to suggest ear plugs as a possible solution to any time you would want to block out any kind of noise. Thank you for your comments regarding our staff. It is our goal to spread the Aloha Spirit to all that we come into contact with. Yes, our location is good and we are close to the beach. The OHANA Waikiki Malia is an excellent value for travelers to Waikiki. Thank you again for review. We look forward to welcoming you back some day.

This is a terrific bargain for Waikiki. Close to the beach, stores, and restaurants. Clean comfortable beds. The staff was excellent, from front desk to concierge to luggage handlers and housekeeping. All were competent, friendly, and helpful. They answered every question and our entire stay went flawlessly. They did everything except prevent the liquid sunshine from occurring.

Aloha and Mahalo for your fantastic review! The OHANA Waikiki Malia hotel is one of the most valued hotels in Waikiki. We are in an excellent location and have the best staff ever in all of our departments. We truly appreciate your comments regarding our staff as they are what make us what we are. It is wonderful that your stay went flawlessly! We apologize for the liquid sunshine but that is what keeps everything so plush and green in Hawaii. Again, thank you for taking the time to write this review. We look forward to welcoming you back again one day.

We stayed at this motel as part of a school trip. It was picked for us by the tour company. I'm not sure what the price was, but it was probably worth it. It is a nice enough place to stay. Double beds are a bit cramped for two adults, and it needs a few upgrades. Elevators need work, they are a trip hazard. They do have all kinds of security, so you feel safe.

Just come back from Honolulu,we stayed in Waikiki but it was all skyscrapers.
There say Waikiki is only 2 miles long and 1 mile wide but its full shops and hotels. It's a very long way to go just to go shopping, and the beaches are not very good I have been on a lot nicer. The hotel was more like a travel lodge, very clean and the staff was all very nice, the swimming pool was the smallest I have very seen, I think it was about 12 foot long and 4 foot wide so we did not bother, been there done that got the tee-shirt not going back (to far) 28 hours traveling.

Aloha and thank you for submitting your review on trip advisor. I agree with you that Honolulu is a large city with many skyscrapers. And Waikiki is full of shops and hotels. I’m sorry that you were disappointed with your travels here and 28 hours is a very long time to travel. I only wished that you could have taken a trip to our outer islands as you might have founded what you were looking for. Thank you for your comments regarding our staff as it is our goal to spread the Aloha Spirit to all who we come in contact with. Cleanliness is also a very high priority for us. I apologize for the size of our pool but we were very limited in the space that we had in which to build. It is small but it still brings joy and laughter to the children who use it. Again, thank you for taking the time to write your review. Hopefully one day you will come back and find the experience that you were looking for.

Hi although the room was not flash we had 2 rooms separated by a wierd little kitchen corridor and the bathroom. It ade it good for the younger adults to get away from old naggy mother. It is a good location close to shops, walking easily to both ends of waikiki and even possible to walk to The big Moana Shopping Centre though the bus is right outside. Good price Wifi in lobby or cable internet to the room if you have a laptop.

Room Tip: We were in what I suspect was the older side but it was fine.

Aloha and Mahalo for submitting your review on tripadvisor. The OHANA Waikiki Malia Hotel consists of two buildings. The Malia Tower and the Luana Wing. The Luana Wing is the building that has 2 rooms and a kitchenette. The 2 rooms are great for privacy as you mentioned. Our location is one of our best attributes. Our cable internet and lobby WIFI are both free as part of our Waikiki Connection program.

We appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you back one day soon.

This is a family motel OHANA meaning family, it's very clean newly remodeled. It has a IHOP restaurant in the lobby very convenient for breakfast they have great food! Very good area to be in Waikiki, not far from the beach and just around the corner from the trolley station. The motel also gives you free trolley rides with your room key.

Aloha and Mahalo for submitting your review on tripadvisor. We are very appreciative of all of your wonderful comments regarding our hotel. We strive to treat all of our guests as “family” while they are staying with us. IHOP serves a wonderful breakfast as well as lunches and dinners. Our central location is great as you are only a couple of blocks away from the ocean and the trolley pickup is right behind our hotel.

Stayed here for one night as mix up with our accommodation in November. Best sleep ever in king bed and reasonable price for WAIKIKI, but at the wrong end of town, free pink trolley rides around town, rooms are fairly spaciest, but no internet in rooms, no Lani, balcony to small even for chair, friendly staff but no milk for coffee asked staff and said you have to buy it from store. Over all well priced but wouldn't stay there again

Aloha and Mahalo for submitting your review to tripadvisor. What a nice compliment regarding your “best sleep ever in a king bed and a reasonable price for Waikiki”.
Our free pink trolley rides are great as they take you to Waikiki Beachwalk and to the Ala Moana shopping center and back. Our rooms are spacious at 331 square feet in our standard and city view categories. We do have internet in our rooms but no WIFI. We are working on installing WIFI in the near future. Our balconies are Juliet balconies with beautiful city views. I apologize for not having milk available for your coffee but we do supply powdered cream. We are glad that you found us well priced and hope that you will change your mind and come and stay with us again sometime in the future.

Thank you again for your feedback.
