Stayed here with my family of four. Our 2 bedroom suite was perfect for us. The second bedroom had two double beds which made my older children very happy. Lobby is quite a bit nicer than than the rooms, which were a bit dated, but super clean and comfortable. This is a great value for a suite and beats the heck out of the two room solution for a family of four. The location is ideal on the end of Waikiki beach proper--out of the crowd but still easy walk to the beach and the classic Waikiki stuff. Also right by Ali Moana park which is uncrowded and has a really nice protected lagoon and great views of Diamond Head and Waikiki Beach.

We had 10 wonderful days in the Ilikai at the end of February. We stayed in a 2 bedroom (1 king and 2 double) 2 bathroom suite. Clean comfortable, roomy (so roomy that we prepared for a wedding there and had 8 extra people in the room that morning and there was room for us all comfortably), plenty of closet space. Lovely little kitchenette with all you need in it. We were lucky and had mountain view and some ocean view as we had a corner unit. The lights at night towards the city/mountain were very relaxing. You also get to see the nighly display at the Hilton next door from this unit. The Ilikai is very well situated. Just outside the busy Waikiki but so easy to walk there or catch the Trolley Bus that pulls up right outside. Just a short walk to the tourist popular Ala Moana shopping centre from the Ilikai. All the tour places know the Ilikai and most pick up from there first, so you get to pick your seats. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Definately staying there again if we go back, you won't be disappointed if you do too.

We have been spending our vacations for the last 32 years in this fabulous hotel.
The staff is just wonderful. Very friendly, they are willing to do anything and eveything for you as long as you are satisfied and happy.

The general manager, Mr. Dowsett is just a wonderful manager. Very friendly and knowledgable and just the manager, any hotel should be jealous of.

My husband and I are planning our 3rd stay at the Ilikai, it is wonderful place to stay,no complaints. The staff meets every need, very friendly. The rooms are spacious and clean, view outstanding, we face the Harbour. The hotel is at the end of the busy Waikiki, but easily in walking distance to everything. We have been going to Hawaii for years and have stayed at other hotels, one in particular we had big problems with smokers, so we moved to the Ilikai, no regrets, we plan on staying here over and over again, we are planning a trip next year with our family and will definitely stay at the Ilikai, hopefully in a corner suite. Absolutely no complaints.
Would definitely recommend the Ilikai, you won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: higher floors, Harbour view

This is the first time we have rented a Condo unit while in Waikiki and pleased with our stay here.
Our room is large, comfortable kingsize bed, sitting area, good sized kitchen, large closets with full height sliding mirror doors, wood laminate in living area with large square marble tiles in kitchen and bath. Good sized bathroom with large shower. Large Balcony. Our suite faces South so lots of sun on the balcony. View of Ocean and good view of fireworks. Quiet at night. Guests we meet in the halls, elevators and lobby are friendly. Great Bar and restaurant on top floor with amazing view of the ocean and city. Will book here again.

Room Tip: Make sure your room faces away from the main road out front. ALso try to find a room 1o floors or h...

Wow, we were very pleased! We had a 2-bedroom suite with two bathrooms, living area, and a kitchenette on the 22nd floor. The corner unit with two balconies made for some spectacular views! Our room was clean and we had lots of space to spread out. The valets and bellman were very attentive and friendly. Valet parking is $28/day and well worth it. You don't want to have to find parking in Waikiki every night on your own (and it'll cost that much or more, anyway). The hotel has a market for snacks & basic needs, as well as a couple restaurants. You can also walk to several coffee shops and the restaurants at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Friday night fireworks at the Hilton are just a few steps away as well. Great location!

The Ilikai was a pleasant experience. The location was great, close to the beach, overlooking the marina, close to great dining and shopping. We stayed in the hotel style room which was clean and well appointed. It was spacious and let"s face it, how much time do you spend in your room in Hawaii? Location is everything and the Ilikai has it. Good value!

Room Tip: Ask for an upgrade to an ocean view room if you are able.
