Have to admit our family was a little nervous about this given the weather conditions (rain and winds), but it ended up being an absolutely beautiful ride. The guides were super organized and Christian knew so much about all the beautiful foliage as well as a lot of history of the island. The bike ride was a highlight of our two week trip. The boat ride and snorkeling were good. We did see turtles. Felt like this part could have been shorter (didn't need so much time in the water). Fun having Sushi (woof, woof) on the boat.

Mahalo for your review. We do our best to keep the adventure fun and safe in all weather conditions. The rainforest to reef experience is a popular tour for us showcasing two completely different areas of the island.

We did the bike and snorkel day trip. It was one of our favorite things about the trip.

Daniel picked us up form our hotel on time and after we picked up another biker we went off. Had a delicious lunch with sandwiches chips cookies and water and then got our bikes all set up. Daniel was behind us with the van the entire time ensuring our safety from drivers as we rode through the rainforest! It was BEAUTIFUL. you could smell everything. It felt like every turn I was opening a new perfume bottle. We stopped at a few look out points and got some photos. It poured on us for a large portion of the ride but that made it more fun. We were soaked after so maybe ponchos would have been nice if offered but we had a blast regardless so even the rain didn’t effect us. Daniel was a great guide. He was very engaging, funny and knowledgeable on the land.

Afterwards we set said with Captain Krash, Sushi the dog and Glenn on a snorkel cruise!

Krash navigated the waters safely which was hard on such a windy day. He explained everything in detail and gave great tips for us beginner snorkelers. Glenn was in the water with us the whole time pointing out different fish and fun facts. The best part is we saw sea turtles. All within a few feet of us!

After snorkeling we were given complimentary drinks and snacks.

Overall- a great day!!! Highly recommend

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. We love Daniel too. We do carry fitted rain jackets with hoods for our bike tour. but maybe he saw how much you enjoyed the rain so never offered them. We also provide rain ponchos for our hiking tours as well. We are glad you enjoyed your day with us. Come back again soon.

This excursion was the highlight of our trip. The hike into the rainforest was beautiful and our guide was very knowledgeable of the flora and fauna. (Wear old shoes-- a bit muddy-- but a great hike.) The downhill bike ride is a bit challenging (switchbacks) and lots of fun. The ride through a state forest has gorgeous views. Finally, turtle bay had crystal clear waters, and we saw lots of fish and a sea turtle. Our guide dove down and was able to bring up a sea anemone to show to all. (The seas were a bit choppy, so if you are prone to sea sickness you may want to take dramamine.)
A full day of activities-- tons of fun!

Our guide and captain, Autumn and Winter where amazing. Also the guide from Bike Hawaii, Christain. All three did great jobs, nice, knowledgeable, helpful and should get raises! The boat ride to and from the snorkel spot had views of the island and was a big bonus on top of the snorkeling. The snorkeling spot was a bit crowded due to a popular spot for guides. But was able to see turtles, erchants and fish. A big bonus was the sighting of a whale with her spray and tale/fin. The captain went out of his way to give us that experience.

A van takes us all way up into the jungle of a mountain top (hill top?) It's so far up that it's a misty wet, we were provided rain coats. They fitted us with helmets and made sure they fit properly. Terry was a fantastic guide. He and Rudolph were very concerned for our safety - stay in our lane, pull over if Terry says there's a car coming, go slow on the hair pin turns, keep distance between you and the person in front of you, place your fingers on your brakes at all times, etc. Terry led the group on his bike, Rudolph followed behind in the van - I felt completely safe knowing I was being taken care of from both ends. Terry has lived there his whole life and his love of the place shows; he's very knowledgeable of the land and will gladly share lots of stories with you. He answered every one of my questions about what I was seeing. The ONLY negative was that my bike mates were too fast for me; I wanted to go slowly and take in all that beauty, but that wasn't possible. I wanted to stop and take pictures of nature but was instructed to keep moving. We stopped at scheduled stops which was great but they were of far-away views - I wanted to stop at random but beautiful spots of trees with vines growing all over them. Once at the bottom, all I wanted to do was go back to take pictures.
I highly recommend this tour - it was SO worth it!
