The lure...20,000 sq ft of animatronic teddy bear displays..."must be like it's a small world"! I took my young son on the tour since he was excited to go. It's not exactly Disney, but we had a nice time. The kids' scavenger hunt was a fun way to get into the attraction and the prize at the end is a good one. Silly as it sounds, go to their restrooms for yet another cute thing. Your paid receipt allowed a second day return entrance so we went the next day with friend's daugther. If you have kid's under 10 yrs old who appreciate "cute things", then go....your husband may want to spend the 45 minutes elsewhere, though. Spare him from the extreme teddy bear cuteness overload.

“Beary Cute Place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 20, 2012

I actually didn't even know about this place until one of my friends shared pictures of it. So, while in Waikiki for the day, the hubby and I decided to check it out. And, I'm so glad we did. Our positive experience began with the cute costumed bear greeting folks out front. The bear cheerfully posed for pics with us. We were very impressed with the friendly and pleasant staff. As you go up the escalator to the museum, note the neat bears positioned on the maps, all dressed up to represent various parts of the world. Admission is really not too high. There are also discounts for military and residents of Hawaii. We went to the museum on a Friday afternoon, and it wasn't crowded at all. Also, you can participate in a scavenger hunt, where you fill out a few fun questions as you walk through the exhibits. The prize is a choice of various colored bear keychains. The price of the keychain in the gift shop is $6.50, so it's a pretty good deal to complete the scavenger hunt. One of the displays is special to the APEC conference, and you can sit in a chair surrounded by bears representing leaders. The Teddy bear museum is pretty cute, too. Get your picture taken next to the Mona Lisa bear or the Scream painting. But, one of the cutest displays is the Elvis bear. Get a front row seat and watch the show. This is a delightful museum, where you can easily take a break and enjoy a happy world of bears.

We found this place by accident on our first morning wandering around. Decided to give it a go. My husband and I laughed so much at the cute teddy bear displays. The Elvis concert is a highlight. Doesn't take long to go through but worth it if weather not good or you want to fill in some time before dinner etc. kids would love it!

“Worth the visit if you have children”

Our 2 year old toddler love it so much that we went back the next day. We enjoyed the exhibits as well. The good thing about the tickets is that you can go back as many times as you want as long as it is within 24 hours.

“Hidden gem”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 28, 2012

Decided to go here while waiting for a dining reservation. It was a cute and interactive teddy bear display in different themes. The place wasn't too busy and there's plenty to space to wander. The information provided in each themed area is great. For little ones, it might not be so exciting but my 8 year old daughter enjoyed it. The Elvis film and bear show stage is also good. You are allowed to take pictures anywhere in the museum. Great for class field trips. The cost is a little high, but they spent a lot of money and need to make up for it. The gift shop is limited and we didn't see anything of interest. Too bad they didn't sell panda bears similar to their display. One ticket allows you to reenter and come back later. Nice if you are staying in the Waikiki area.
