What an unexpected treat. Stumbled across it as walking through the Royal Hawaiian Gardens on the way to Sheraton Waikiki.
This was the most expensive place eaten at on recent Hawaii trip. Having said that, it was still cheaper than a lot of Australian restaurants. Wine prices were def dearer than Australian wine with a huge mark up compared to buying alcohol outside a restaurant. i.e. ABC store, K Mart, Food Pantry.
Great variety of choice re: meals. All choices were very good - bruschetta, calamari, pasta, gnocchi. The gnocchi with truffle cream sauce was sublime. Only wish there had been room for dessert.
Sat outside. Good size eating area without being over crowded.
Service was very good. All staff were attentive without being intrusive. Staff were impeccably dressed with long aprons. Loved their ties. Staff were reasonably knowledgeable but 2 questions asked of 2 different staff couldn't be answered. Couldn't tell me where the oil and balsamic came from; bruschetta question forgotten about. *Ensure you specify 'tap water' otherwise you may be slugged $9 for a bottle of Italian water. Totally our fault for not being clearer.
Each trip we try to find a "good" restaurant to finish off the holiday. This was a gem and one which we will return to again.
TIP: Please don't bring your child/ren to this restaurant. It is a lovely, romantic, adult space. I would like to be able to enjoy it as such.
