Iron Chef Morimoto supplies an amazing spread. Best meal I've had in a long time. If you are in Honolulu or planning to be, I'd highly recommend a visit to this fantastic restaurant. The bone marrow and rock shrimp appetizers cannot be beat.

We had a wonderful dinner here Nov. 27th. My husband and I decided to do the "Morimoto Omakase" which is a Chef's choice tasting menu. From start to finish it was amazing. Incredibly well presented. Service was attentive but not overbearing and exactly what I would expect at a high-end five star restaurant. Our son had the Ramen soup and was in heaven. We sat outside with a beautiful view of the sunset. Count on us eating here again...as well as the other Morimoto's across the U.S.

The positives are that the food (especially the seafood) was fresh with a beautiful presentation. The sushi and sashimi were very good, but not excellent. The atmosphere is OK but seating is a bit close and children are allowed, so if the kids are well behaved and quiet, then it's OK, but if not, it can be unpleasant. Service was average. We spent over $100/person with a bottle of wine between four of us. View is of the yacht basin. There are better places at this price point...

We were staying close by, and heard that this was a great place to dine.
We like to stay away from the cheap food and tacky chain eateries.
Beautiful when you walk in. Very crisp and clean.
Sevice was good, though the drinks were a little slow.
All the food we ordered was good.
I just think that when people are paying good money to dine in a good place, a little privacy would be good.
I found the tables very cramped.Way too close together.
And there was plenty of room to be seated at a table, where you didnt have to listen to the other diners conversations.
We actually felt compelled to speak to the couples on either side of our tables as we were seated so close.
Apart from that, I enjoyed the meal and the night.

We had high expectations of Morimoto based on other opinions, but were disappointed. The service was average, which started as soon as you walked in. We had to wait to be seated (even though the restaurant was half empty) and we weren't taken to the bar or offered a drink while waiting. Continuing the theme, our drinks were left empty for a long time as well. The staff seemed to be all over the place with no continuity of servers. The food was ok, but just ok and not great when you consider how much you are paying. The plus side - it is lovely eating outside on a nice evening.
