This place was a 5 minute walk from our hotel, it's located inside the Modern Hotel. The first thing you notice is the crisp white and green decor. The outdoor seating is very beautiful and comfortable. We had some sushi rolls and the wagyu beef. Both were pretty good, however I've had good sushi before at other less expensive restaurants. I would definitely go back again if I am in the area.

We were half way through our dinner when they sat a noisy young family next to us; there were lots of empty tables. They offered to move us but because we finished our main course by that point, we left. What a ruined evening!

This was definitely a great experience. By far the most expensive and classiest restaurants we've ever visited to celebrate our 1 year anniversary.

We opted for the omakase and was pretty floored right from the start with the tuna tartare. Exquisite! Other highlights included the fish in hot oil and our favourite, the foie grois rendered custard. That was the most intense flavour we've ever tasted! We extended that portion of the meal by 15minutes to fully enjoy every morsel.

The waiters were incredibly knowledgeable and courteous throughout our meal. They really helped enhance the whole Morimoto experience. There was a monsoon happening, and they offered to setup a table for us inside the restaurant to avoid getting wet from the patio seating we had.

The final entree was wagyu beef, lobster, creme fraiche, and pork chop. Pretty anticlimactic, in our opinion, but surprising to get all that in our set.

We saw a couple next to us also get the omakase, but it was to share. They also ordered other dishes to try, which was absolutely brilliant! Definitely recommend going this route if it's your first time.

All in all, a great experience.

Being lucky to have business in Hawaii recently I was invited to have dinner with our client at this Iron Chef owned restaurant. Based on the clients recommendation I expect the restaurant would be exceptional. I would say the meal was very good but not worth the cost, thankfully this was a business expense and I believe the restaurant counts on the business customers for a significant portion of its clientele. Having said that I found the setting beautiful and I would highly recommend the place for drinks and appetizers around sundown, preferably with a spouse or date and not a client.
