“The Inside Story”
Reviewed March 24, 2013

Truly remarkable and informative tour, after pickup tour proceeds to Pearl Harbor where you get free time to explore the many exhibits and then you are amongst the first visitors of the day to be taken out to the Arizona Memorial, you are then taken to Schofield Army Barracks where you get to inspect the "Tropic Lightning" Museum. Then its on Fort Shafter, headquarters for the US Army Pacific Command, here you also get to have a Buffet Lunch at the Officers Club, this incurs an additional cost of $10.95 but you wont find a better value for money Buffet anywhere I know of. All the while you are in the Tour Bus your guide is a wealth of information with little known facts and inside stories relating to WW2. To finish the tour you are taken to the "Home of the Brave Private Museum" where there is an absolutely astonishing and vast collection of WW2 memorabilia. If you are into World War 2 History, you cannot miss doing this tour. OUTSTANDING !

“The Best Tour Ever”
Reviewed March 2, 2013

My wife and I were going to be in Waikiki for a week prior to going on a cruise around the islands. We decided to do a few tours and leave others for when we returned. I'm really glad this tour was one that we did first. The reviews that I've read were all very positive and I echo those sentiments. The guide, I'm ashamed to admit I can't remember his name, was absolutely in tune with the subject. He told us so many up close and personal stories of things that not only happened on the day of "Infamy," but also the days leading up to and following that day. The research done to make the story come alive for those taking the tour was evident in the presentation, but it wasn't all just from reading about the events. The person to person interviews with those that were there by the guide made the events come alive. We've never heard of those pilots that got off the ground and accomplished amazing things, but after the tour I felt like I knew them. Thanks so much for providing such a magnificent introduction to O'ahu.

Aloha and Mahalo for taking the time to write such a kind, informative, and detailed review of our private Home of the Brave Tour!

It is always uplifting to hear that our customers thoroughly enjoyed their experience with us and take the time to appreciate the hard work our tour guides and managers have put into this company. Hopefully we succeeded in transporting you and your wife to the era of the 1940s!

We hope to have you both join us again someday! Remember, we will remain the land of the free, so long as we are the Home of the Brave!

“The Best on Oahu”
Reviewed February 23, 2013

This is an excellent tour for anyone, but history buffs and World War II buffs, as well as Veterans will love this tour. It goes to all the right places on Oahu. It is however, a veyr long day. Pick up at six and back at the hotel at 4 pm.

“Fantastic!”
Reviewed February 12, 2013

I had done extensive reading regarding Pearl Harbor and wanted to make this visit for a long time. The tour was everything I had hoped it would be - Duke was a top notch guide and was able to answer every question that was asked. The van was equipped with video and the clips that he used during the tour were very interesting and helpful as he reviewed the events of the Pearl Harbor attack for us. The smaller bus was a bonus as we got off and on at various sites. Stopping at Schofield Barracks and Wheeler Field for lunch was a nice touch that tied past and present together. Visiting the interesting family museum was a fitting end to the thoughtful and moving tour. I booked this tour through the cruise ship and was glad I had done it 6 months before the visit - it is reported to sell out quickly. One additional note: the Navy had canceled all visits to the Arizona Memorial the day of my tour. The report was that it was "too windy" but only a gentle breeze was blowing. This was a huge disappointment to me but no fault of the tour company and they made a big effort to add some extra stops to the tour. Just be aware that a visit to the Arizona Memorial is not a "sure thing" - something I had not considered.

Aloha and Mahalo for taking the time to write such a detailed and informative review of our Home of the Brave Tour. Every response we receive is very important to us and we truly appreciate the time taken to say such kind words. Home of the Brave is proud to honor our American veterans that have sacrificed so much for the freedom that we have today.

We are sorry to hear that you were unable to board the Arizona Memorial on your tour date. That is something that is unfortunately out of our control, so we really appreciate your understanding of the matter. We take great care in insuring that our customers have a great well-rounded experience with us and feel as if they are being transported back to the 1940s.

Thank you once again for joining us and we hope to see you back in the islands in the near future!

Aloha,
Brittany

If you are lucky enough to have Olav for your driver/guide for the day, you will have had the most amazingly wonderful experience learning about the WWII attack on Pearl Harbor. Trust me; it is worth EVERY penny you pay, and you had best tip him well because he is amazing!
