“Private Tour with Hilton-Priceless”
Reviewed February 22, 2013

My husband and 18-month old took a 2-day private tour with Hilton and had such a memorable experience. He picked us up in a brand spanking new Honda Odyssey loaded with goodies for my kid. We just showed pictures last night of the trip to my toddler and when we pointed to the tour guide and asked him who this was, he said, "Hilton!" Hilton is a great listener and really customized the tour to fit our interests. My husband really enjoys botanical gardens so we went to one on the tour and another garden that he told us about that was close to a wedding we attended. I like sweets so Hilton picked up malasadas from Leonard's Bakery and he also made sure we made a quick trip to Lilliha Bakery for their coco puffs. For anyone who likes good grub, Hilton is your tour guide. He is a true foodie. We loved the white sand beach that he took us to. Unlike Waikiki, it wasn't crowded and the water was so blue and the sand was so soft. Watching the big turtles (25 pounds to 50 pounds) over on the North Shore was a sight to see. There were 3 sunbathing and 3 that were riding the waves.
That was a hoot. At the end of the day, Hilton opened up coconut and we drank the juice straight from it. If you want to see all the natural wonders of Oahu, this tour is for you.

“Best money you'll ever spend in Hawaii!”
Reviewed February 11, 2013

My mom and I just spent 2 weeks in Hawaii -- one week on Oahu, the other week on a cruise. But the day we spent on a sightseeing tour with Natalie had to be one of the best days I've ever spent on vacation (and I've traveled all over the world). Natalie customized the trip based on what we wanted to see and she took us to some spots only the locals go. She knew where to stop to see sea turtles on the North Shore and we enjoyed our time at the beach in Kailua so much, I rented a car and went back there later in the week. Natalie is a sweet, mature young woman -- very professional and thoughtful. She even had the foresight to call Liliha Bakery before she came to pick us up to see if they had already sold out of cocoa puffs (yes, they had) so we didn't waste time going there. She took us to another local bakery instead for some malasadas -- yum!

Thanks Natalie for a perfect day on Oahu. It's one my mother and I will never forget! If Trip Advisor had 6 stars, I'd give it to you.

“Only way to go - Private”
Reviewed January 26, 2013

First time to the island of Oahu and decided on a private tour through Nau Wale No, and this is the only way to go! Not being herded like cattle like other bus tour was the best part of it all. Hilton our tour guide was excellent, respectful and very knowledgeable of the island. We saw a lot of the island which is what we wanted and he took us to a great local beach and great place for lunch. We look forward to going back and seeing the rest of the island.

“Great Tour, Great Guide!”
Reviewed January 14, 2013

We have been on private tours in Australia and New Zealand and really enjoy the personal service they offer. I wrote to three tour operators in Oahu explaining that we will be visiting Oahu with our son and daughter-in-law and our daughter and son-in-law. (In their 20’s) We had different ideas of the things we wanted to do with our 8-hour tour from hiking to turtle watching to swimming. One company took 8 days to reply, one company said no problem and Nau Wale No Private Tours of Oahu sent a personal reply letting me know that the hiking would be dependent on the weather, as hiking in the rain would be a safety issue. I appreciated the honesty and personal reply and chose Nau Wale No Private Tours of Oahu.

Monday morning was clear, but rain was in the forecast. Our tour guide Hilton picked us up at our hotel and took us to Leonard’s bakery for malasadas, a Portuguese donut similar to New Orleans beignets. Delicious! During the stop, Hilton took the time to get to know each couple and what they wanted to do. After learning my husband was a golfer, he drove us past the Waialae Country Club, where the Sony Open would be held that week. We drove to Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve for a bathroom break and a quick look, then on to the Halona Blowhole for a photo. Then it was off to Makapu’u Point Lighthouse and a 2 mile round trip hike. The sun was out for our hike and the views were beautiful. We were hoping to see whales off the point, but there were too many whitecaps so spotting was difficult. Hilton had snacks in the van and also towels if we decided to get wet.

Next we drove through a neighborhood to a beautiful white, powder sand beach and decided not to go swimming as it was getting a little overcast, but we all walked along the beach and put our feet in the water. After finding out that our daughter was a wildlife biologist, he pointed out the bird sanctuary just offshore that on a nicer day we could kayak to. Then we drove through a smaller neighborhood to Laie Point to view the Sea Arch. We could not have seen these sights with a larger tour as only a personal van would fit on these streets! We drove up the Pali Lookout to see the views and experience the strong winds. It was really cold and a little rainy, but fun to lean against the wind.
We drove back to the eastern Oahu coast to try to find the sun and some lunch. We were looking forward to shrimp, but Hilton had learned that my son-in-law wasn’t fond of seafood. Hilton called ahead and had two orders of Loco Moco, an original homemade meal of rice with a hamburger patty, an egg and topped with gravy ready when we drove by 20 minutes later. While we munched on garlic shrimp from Giovanni’s Shrimp Truck, Hilton and Adam enjoyed their Hawaiian lunch.

We drove up to the North Shore through the rain and we knew we wouldn’t be able to do the Waimea Canyon waterfall hike. We drove on enjoying the coastline and the rain stopped just as we got to Laniakea beach also called Turtle Beach. We parked and found two turtles sunning themselves on the beach. I checked the clock and surprised to see that it had been 7.5 hours already. We drove down through the central valley and back to our hotel.

Hilton was a great guide that had a lot of knowledge about every area we visited. He made sure everyone got to see one thing on their list. He suggested other things we could do while in Oahu and even volunteered to get us reservation to a restaurant that was booked. We would all recommend Hilton and Nau Wale No Private Tours of Oahu.

We recently visited the islands for the 3rd time. We thought that we had seen and done all the island had to offer. Boy were we wrong! We actually found Nau Wale No Tours when I was looking through tripadvisor for something new to do. Michelle picked us up and was prompt, knowledgeable, and fun. She took us to 3 parts of the island where we swam on a secluded beach, swam with turtles, and hiked to a lookout point to watch for dolphins and whales. We ended up extending our tour from 8 hours to 10 hours because we realized that there is so many amazing things we had been missing out on these last 3 trips. Thanks again Michelle and Nau Wale No Tours!
