“Picnic Heaven~”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2013

Very nice park on Waikiki Beach. Great place for a picnic. Crowded on weekends. Bathroom facilities could be upgraded a little. Food and drink available all along the beach around it. Close to lots of attractions. Music from Beach Bars in the area on the weekends. Very nice place to watch the Hilton Fireworks on Fridays!

“Loved it!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013

Off the beaten path a little and less crowded, calm seas, small beach. Watch ocean activity as well as the crowds walking by on the boardwalk, great location.

“The only two permanent volleyball courts on Waikiki Beach are at Fort DeRussy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013

The section of Waikiki Beach here is very nice, and usually not to crowded. The two volleyball courts are the only ones on the beach. The actual Fort (now a museum) is free, and interesting. There are places to eat and drink nearby, as well as bathrooms. There are beach equipment rentals nearby.

It is on the Western end of Waikiki Beach.

“Wide beach area”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013

the beach in front of the park is the widest part of Waikiki. There is plenty of room to have your own space. You can hire a lounge and umbrella for the day ($50 for non military). There is plenty of action for people watchers too :)

“Exercise path”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013

I use this place for exercise. The fumes from the nearby cars are a disadvantage, but the path is nice, the plants lovely, and the exercise stations are good. Continue your walk out to the beach where other exercise stands are stationed and then make a second circuit for a total workout.
