“Tranquile Hyper Activity”
Reviewed January 26, 2013

I love this end of the Waikiki strip. It is an opportunity to escape the sun while still enjoying the beach activity and people watching.

“Not so hidden gem”
Reviewed January 25, 2013

Close to our hotel at the far end of Waikiki beach(near the Hilton lagoon) - widest stretch of the beach, great for spreading out, Fort DeRussy park offers grassy, shaded areas to sit in when you desire. Good swimming and we found good snorkeling spots as well. Walk down to the busy end of the beach to see the crowd, but bring your book and set up here.

“More of a park, than beach”
Reviewed January 24, 2013

This park is right by our hotel, nothing fancy but does have lots of walking paths and people watching. It's dead at night, so be careful walking through

“Nice Park”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

This is a nice park to walk through. There was really nothing special, but a nice park here and close to the beach.

“2 blocks from the Ambassador Hotel!”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

this beach is under military rule-so there are M.P.'s that walk around making sure people are safe. It is less crowded, but just up from Waikiki Beach. There are many picnic tables and sand volleyball courts, which always have locals playing! This beach is GREAT for sunrises and sunsets! Waikiki has too many buildings in the way of the sunsets....
