Because of necessity we shopped at this run down food pantry. To pay $1.80 for an ordinary white non organic onion is ludicrous- in fact all vegetables were very overpriced. Purchased a roast chicken one day znd was the smallest chicken I have ever seen and didn’t even taste nice - was very dry and had obviously been sitting in its container for hours and the cost was over $10. Their selection is poor and don’t even have hard cheese it’s all processed.
So...... I discovered the most amazing supermarket called ‘Whole Foods market’ which is a 12 minute nbr 23 bus from waikaki to Kahala Mall. I would have gone there from day one had I known it existed. They gave an amazing range of fruit and vegetables, fresh meat, fish , fabulous range of cheeses hot food - chickens, duck breasts, pizzas, wonderful selection of wines. The people are very friendly and helpful. There is also a little pub type bar where you can have a drink and lunch if wanted. They also have a huge range of organic food. I would NEVER shop at the food pantry again after discovering WholeFoods Market - it is so much cheaper and certainly worth the ride and bus fare to get there.

We stayed airbnb and found ourselves making most of our meals so relied heavily on food pantry. Bought most of dinner, breakfast supplies from here - could find most things we needed including fruit and veg, beer, drinks, sun cream and ear plugs.
If we didn't have this close by our expenses would have doubled as we also didn't have a car either.

This is the only grocery store in Waikiki. A very good variety of anything you could want. Lots of souveniers as well.

Very central on Kulio in the heart of Waikiki. This small supermarket carries a little of everything, also the bus stops right out front.
I will not say that the prices are low but when you consider the value of your time here on vacation then you would not want to go further out of the area to save the extra cost.
Products are fresh and check out is generally quick, bring your own bags if you do not like paper ones.

I was staying at a hotel with a kitchen nearby and popped in here for some items I'd need for the week. I was really surprised at how high the prices were, even for being in a tourist area. $3 for one tomato, really? We got the very basics and tried to make it out of there without spending more than we needed to. Nice store though, clean and well laid out and a good assortment of items if you don't mind paying their high prices.
