We go to the Plumeria Beach House Restaurant inside the Kahala Hotel at least once a month for a leisurely breakfast or lunch. The service is always excellent, prompt, courteous. The food is always delicious, well prepared, nice portioned. Never a miss. The restaurant s located downstairs of the grand lobby. It faces a lovely beach. A great place to take family, fiends, or business associates. Always a lovely venture for a bit of R and R and a good meal with reasonable price in a lovely setting.

We had lunch with our children aged 7 and 9. The fish tacos were delicious and the children menu offered some healthy options. The cocktails were tasty. Service was attentive.

One of the best seafood buffets I have had in a long time. They constantly replenished all the dishes, including fresh sashimi, small raw oysters, shrimp, snow crab legs, shrimp and scallop salad. Had a made to order boulleabaise hot counter and delicious salads. The desserts were all appealing and delicious, especially the bread pudding. Complemented by the by goreous sunset on the beach at the Kahala Resort. Recommend the buffet to anyone.

Plumeria offered a wide array of food accomodating both American and Japanese palettes of all appetites. Everything was fresh and never ran out. The chef behind the omelette station made his job look easy and was very gracious.

The service was good, if a bit slow at times due to: A) the large crowd (a good thing); B) operating on Hawaiian time (obviously).

The ambiance was the ideal Hawaiian setting (minus the birds plucking at empty tables). Views of Diamond Head, Koko Head and the vast ocean were lovely to see while partaking in a wonderful meal.

I cannot comment on the value/price as this was a gift, but it measured up nicely.

Plumeria in the Kahala Resort occupies a beautiful large space, an indoor area with a view of the beach and ocean as well as an outdoor verandah. Both buffet and menu service are available here.Service is very good and prompt. We finally discovered the daily resort activities listing on the back page of the NYT digest on the table at the entrance! We all looked forward to the breakfast buffet each morning. My selection was typically some combo of guava juice, spa water, Kona coffee, papaya and pineapple, egg white vegetable omelet or yogurt and granola parfait, My family liked the eggs to order, bacon and sausage selections, salmon and capers, fingerling potatoes, huge strawberries and Japanese rice bowl with pickled vegetables and seaweed. They also discovered Kahalasadas (sugared donuts), rolled crepes and pineapple cake! Different specials were served in large chafing dishes daily-all good! Chicken thighs in mushroom sauce, hash, and a frittata were offered during our week. The quality of the breakfast buffet was so good, we returned for the Friday night seafood buffet. We were also enticed by the "San Francisco Seafood" theme. Dinner was an extremely good value, and all of us went straight toward the station where the chef was customizing bowls of steaming hot cioppino! Really good! We supplemented that with plenty of island ahi tuna sashimi, various pokes, crab legs, sushi, chowder in sour dough bread bowls, shrimp and terrific fennel slaw.. We also treated ourselves to several items from the Dessert table-coconut cake, strawberry cake and macadamia nut tartlets were memorable choices! The buffets were very well tended and presented. All foods are named and labeled as Nut-free (NF), Dairy-free (DF) and Gluten-free(GF)..
